Overview: The primary role of Electrical Design Team Lead is a “bridge” between customer and electrical design team, and from concept/business win to production launch/SOP to ensure the successful outcome of the program. And also coordinate a program team/chassis/lighting engineers and electrical engineers to achieve consistency of a product’s performance, functional attributes with its requirement.
Responsibilities: <p><strong>II-2-1. Quotation and Concept Phase</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support a generating quotation and creating design concept</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-2-2. Development &amp; Validation Phase</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support to initiate, develop and direct the design of new products</li> <li>Coach and manage team to follow-Up timing, changes cost information, interface and part availability</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-2-3. Develop Criteria and Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and manage team to develop the requirements (CTS &ndash; component technical specification)</li> <li>Coach to develop and apply Lessons Learned</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-2-4. Develop Engineering Solution</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support to develop engineering solutions and release final design to production</li> <li>Release parts into customer&rsquo;s system</li> <li>Math/Drawing review, sign off, and submission</li> <li>Ordering and tracking of part deliveries</li> <li>Support and coach to develop and design concept</li> <li>Provide technical information and direction to designer/ designing engineer</li> <li>Support and manage team to Manage Change Requests and Problem Resolution Tracking</li> <li>Support and coach to design of component with customer changes</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-2-5. Conduct Validation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and manage team to initiate, analyze and revise design if test/ manufacturing/ field problem has</li> <li>Support and manage team to develop requirements compliance Summary</li> <li>Support and manage team to run vehicle and bench testing and updates when hardware, software, and/or calibrations are made</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-2-6. Miscellaneous</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support Manufacturing and Service Engineering</li> <li>Support Product</li> <li>Support to set up the design environment and tools</li> <li>Participate in hiring process</li> <li>Conduct yearly evaluations of employees</li> <li>Handle employee conflict</li> <li>Support training of new employees</li> <li>Support yearly budget for department</li> <li>Participate in monthly team lead meetings</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>II-3-1. Work Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>More than 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering (Automotive H/W, S/W, Complex Systems)</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-3-2. Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>BSEE or related such as BSCE, BSCS</li> </ul> <p><strong>II-3-3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand automotive system in detail and apply those functions to vehicle applications</li> <li>Emphasis on team work, good communication skills, readiness to travel on test trips</li> <li>Ability to understand hardware/software and development process</li> </ul>
