Overview: <ul> <li>Support purchasing activities relating to sourcing and services for all programs.</li> <li>Ensure purchasing support to supplier quality activities is adequate.</li> <li>Provide guidance to buyers for purchasing related activities.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide communications to new program suppliers regarding design changes, set expectations and timing related to manufactured parts and components.</li> <li>Provide internal feedback of new program suppliers overall performance &amp; compliance with SL requirements and maintain supplier matrix</li> <li>Lead launching activities for suppliers including MRD, Validation, Launching, and overall program timing.</li> <li>Lead evaluation and report product cost changes after sourcing through initial production.</li> <li>Lead supplier VA/VE process.</li> <li>Monitor new material labeling and packaging specification to SL standards, ensure supplier submissions to SQE. Monitor internally and externally to ensure on time delivery &amp; compliance of product identification for pre-production and production components.</li> <li>Monitor and evaluate inventory to support preproduction build requirements.</li> <li>Maintain document records for TS16949, NAFTA, and other customer specific requirements.</li> <li>Issue RFQ&rsquo;s based on sales and program team requirements.</li> <li>Review and recommend sourcing plans for new programs and potential re-sourcing of current programs with SL management team.</li> <li>Manage documentation for new program tooling and developing costs related to outsourced product.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5 years&rsquo; experience in automotive materials or purchasing</li> <li>Previous purchasing or materials experience desired, preferably in an automotive environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>College degree required in relevant field.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge Skills and Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to use various Microsoft based programs and or MRP programs</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Ability to analyze complex data.</li> <li>Ability to work with various disciplines</li> <li>Evaluating logistics and supply chain data.</li> <li>Strong negotiation skills.</li> <li>Strong communication skills.</li> <li>Strong Problem solving ability.</li> </ul>
