Responsibilities: Reports to: Mutuels/Simulcasting Manager / Mutuel Representative<br /><br />Primary Purpose: Accept wagers and pay winning tickets. Primary source for wagering information.<br />Responsibilities:<br /><ul><li>Take wagers from customers, answer basic betting questions and pay winning tickets.</li><li>Receive daily cash bankroll and verify; prepare cash for ‘skim’; close out cash bankroll and give money to Mutuel Representative.</li><li>Obtain needed cash for completion of customer transaction.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements: Education/Certification: High School Diploma<br /><br />Work Experience: Money handling experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Strong customer service skills.<br /><br />Skills:<br /><ul><li>Successful completion of six-hour mutuel training school in which operation of the wagering terminal is taught.</li><li>Must pass a qualifying test which gauges knowledge of horse racing and wagering formats.</li></ul>
