Overview: <p>This position will provide support to the CIO with audits and contract management tasks. This position will also assist with projects, monitor department tasks, complete reports and provide guidance to staff in the department. This position serves as backup for CIO reporting and tasks.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Assists CIO with the development, negotiation, and implementation of agency contracts.</li> <li>Assists with Contract Management functions and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Information Officer, may include but not limited to contract maintenance, contract formats, provider network monitoring, maintaining a list of current contracts, gathers rate setting documentation, facilitating contact between residential providers and the clinical treatment team as necessary, etc.</li> <li>Provide assistance to the CIO regarding placement and residential needs regarding contract adjustments.</li> <li>Responsible to develop and produce reports for agency programs as requested and assigned by the CIO.</li> <li>Knowledge of MDHHS and Medicaid Standards, Recipient Rights, HIPAA and Confidentiality Rules. Requirements: <p><strong>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required. A minimum of three (3) years&rsquo; experience in PIHP/CMH contract management and three (3) years of auditing experience required. Applicants must have the ability to perform several tasks/projects concurrently and have excellent interpersonal skills.</p> <p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.&nbsp; Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.&nbsp; Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.</p> <p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.&nbsp; Has the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.</p> <p><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong></p> <p>Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Has the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.<br /><br /><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</strong></p> <p>Valid Michigan Driver&rsquo;s license.</p> <p><strong>COMPUTER SKILLS</strong></p> <p>Proficient with all Microsoft Office based programs including Word, Excel and Access database skills.
