With St Clair, Genesee and Lapeer counties, SCCMH is a member of Region 10, a 4 county public mental health alliance which provide mental health services to persons eligible for Medicaid benefits under a capitated funding agreement. Overview: This position will&nbsp;provide clinical and/or administrative consultation on mental health service delivery; assist with program projects; complete program review of clinical case records; facilitate peer case consultation; and provide clinical back up to treatment staff. This position provides a variety of direct services based upon the department need. This may include services such as case management, on-call, intakes, crisis management and individual and/or group therapy.<br /><br /> <p>Compensation Range: $21.71/Hr.-$31.10/Hr. ($42,334.50-$60,645.00)</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Review Clinical Forms for staff in the department. (BPS, IPOS, PR and Amendments) Provide feedback to staff and e-sign completed documents.</li> <li>Provide Clinical consultation to other staff in the department as directed by the supervisor or in their absence.</li> <li>Provide individual, family and group therapy. The clinician develops materials for and provides group therapy rotation as needed. Any Home-Based Individuals will receive a minimum of four hours of intensive services for each family monthly.</li> <li>Link, monitor, coordinate and advocate with community agencies to assist the individual in accessing basic needs like housing, medical appointments, employment, and other needs as they arise.</li> <li>Participates in evidence based practices as assigned (TF-CBT, ACT/IDDT/FPE/etc).</li> <li>Completes intake assessments and makes referrals for services and programs.</li> <li>Gathers and Reviews information such as medical, psychological, and social history contributing to the individual&rsquo;s situation. Evaluates this information to determine the individual&rsquo;s needs and capabilities towards the least restrictive environment and/or services.</li> <li>Initiates and coordinates professional assessments according to the presenting problem and relevant standards, and is responsible for sharing and presenting assessment/treatment data as authorized and required for implementation and coordination with other agencies, courts and caretaker.</li> <li>Maintain agency standards of compliance in the documentation, billing, and other requirements to obtain maximum reimbursement.</li> <li>Completes the person-centered plan of service and periodic review of progress, assuring revision as needed, and assuring that the preferences of the individual served are reflected in the individual plan of treatment. Makes direct/indirect contacts in accordance to the person-centered plan with the assigned individuals, and is responsible for assuring the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the person-centered plan of service in residential, employment, school, and other settings.</li> <li>Serves as the primary advocate for the individual, child and/or family and assures that they are linked with needed resources in the community.</li> <li>Provides consultation, referral and in-services to staff, caretaker, families and other agencies as needed to meet the specialized needs of individuals served.</li> <li>Provide community outreach to individuals who have a history of hospital recidivism in order to be proactive in preventing crisis situations</li> <li>The clinician participates in after hours on-call participation and crisis intervention during the workday.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Candidates/Employees are required to have a Masters Degree in Human Services Field from an accredited school with licensure as a LMSW, LLP, LP OR LPC.&nbsp;</li> <li>Candidates/Employees are required to have supervised an internship or licensure for another licensed professional. Candidates/employees must have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience post full licensure and a minimum of 1-year experience in a CMH (direct or contract system) with an EMR system.</li> <li>Candidates/Employee must also qualify as QMHP, QMRP or CMHP where appropriate for population being served.</li> <li>Clinical Coordinator requirements listed may be waived for staff that qualifies as a BCBA or QBHP within the Autism Program.</li> <li>For anyone working with children, they must receive 24 hours of Children&rsquo;s training per calendar year and become a CAFAS rater. A Minimum of one year of experience with examination, evaluation and treatment of SED Children and families is required.</li> <li>Staffs are required to hold a SUD licensure/development plan before 12/31/2017.&nbsp;Staff may comply with this requirement by applying for a MCBAP Plan, scheduling their test for SUD licensure or becoming fully licensed as an SUD provider.&nbsp;Note that staff must show proof of how they are meeting these requirements on or before 12/31/2017.&nbsp;For any staff hired after 12/31/2017 they must apply for SUD licensure within 60 days of hire.</li> <li>Candidates/Employee are required to have been trained in the ADOS-2 of have relevant experience to be eligible to apply for the training within 90 days of hire.</li> <li>Candidate/Employee is required to have at least 1-2 years of experience working with and treating children with ASD.</li> <li>Candidates/Employees are required to have knowledge of ABA practices and intervention.</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFIED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL (QBHP)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be certified as a BCBA by September 30, 2020</li> <li>Services Provided: Behavioral assessment, behavioral treatment, and behavioral observation and direction.</li> <li>License/Certification: A license or certification is not required, but is optional.</li> <li>Education and Training: QBHP must meet one of the following state requirements:</li> <li>Minimum of a master's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution with specialized training and one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children with ASD. Works within their scope of practice, works under the supervision of the BCBA, and has extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis. Extensive knowledge is defined as having received documented coursework at the graduate level from an accredited university in at least three of the six following areas:</li> </ul> <ol> <li>1. Ethical considerations.</li> <li>2. Definitions &amp; characteristics and principles, processes &amp; concepts of behavior.</li> <li>3. Behavioral assessment and selecting interventions outcomes and strategies.</li> <li>4. Experimental evaluation of interventions.</li> <li>5. Measurement of behavior and developing and interpreting behavioral data.</li> <li>6. Behavioral change procedures and systems supports.</li> </ol> <p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</p> <p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</p> <p><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong></p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p><strong>COMPUTER SKILLS </strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software. Recommended typing speed of 40 wpm.</p> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</strong></p> <p>Valid Michigan Driver' License. Chauffeurs license; if transporting individuals that receive services.</p> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; travel between offices and throughout building, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.</p> <p>The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p> <p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p> The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee may be required to travel to outside meetings or homes as determined by caseload. While performing some of the duties of this job, the employee is will be exposed to outside weather conditions.
