Overview: Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. Coordinates and tracks customer requirements. Directs and coordinates activities of all production areas in processing materials and manufacturing products in industrial program by performing the following duties.<br/><br/>
Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Reviews production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications (blueprints) of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to coordinate department operations with production supervisor.</li> <li>Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.</li> <li>Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.</li> <li>Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems with the Sanco/Community Services Supervisor to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.</li> <li>Inspects, sets up and adjusts machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.</li> <li>Provides oversight of product pricing.</li> <li>Reviews requirements for raw materials. Contacts vendors to obtain product or service information regarding best possible price, availability, and delivery schedule.</li> <li>Coordinates shipping and receiving of goods and maintains records tracking the flow of materials.</li> <li>Maintains adequate inventory of raw materials to meet production demands and is responsible for placing orders for raw materials via Purchase Requisition/ Quickbooks as needed.</li> <li>Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with customers, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and recommend corrective action. Maintains records regarding the disposition of non-conforming materials.</li> <li>Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.</li> <li>Resolves production problems with Vocational Technicians and submits unresolved situations to Sanco/Community Services Supervisor for action.</li> <li>Generates monthly and quarterly reports detailing procurement and production activity.</li> <li>Coordinates the production process as required.</li> <li>Coordinates and performs quarterly inventory</li> <li>Transports raw material and finished goods between production sites and delivers to customers as needed.</li> <li>Coordinates production capabilities and requirements to meet shipping deadlines.</li> <li>Assist in training and monitoring skill building consumers in certain job assignments.</li> <li>Coordinates parts inspection and documentation</li> <li>Assists in the supervision and personal care needs of individuals receiving services as requested.</li> <li>Inspects and prepares daily shipments as needed.</li> <li>Handles after hours emergency needs of customers</li> <li>Assigns and inspects work of industrial employees as needed.</li> <li>Check all pricing and purchase order numbers.</li> <li>Performs all clerical duties for Industrial Department using Microsoft programs.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience in Bookkeeping/accounting is preferred.</p> <p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.&nbsp; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions one on one, from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong></p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>REASONING ABILITY:</strong></p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving abstract and concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</strong></p> <p>Valid Michigan Driver&rsquo;s License.</p> <p><strong>COMPUTER SKILLS&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software. Typing speed of 45 wpm is required.</p> <p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <p>Must have expansive computer skills- Email, Word, Excel, QuickBooks I and II. Ability to interpret blue prints and manufacturing specifications. Must be able to use special fixtures and precision measuring devices.</p>
