Overview: <p>We are searching for an experienced Material Handler at our Mankato, MN facility. <br /><br /><br /><br />1st Shift and 2nd Shift Openings available.<br /><br />This role will ensure material needs are prepared to meet production timelines and handle inbound materials, preparation of outbound material, and truck loading.</p>
Responsibilities: As part of the Warehouse team you will be expected to:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Locate, pull and verify materials and supplies listed on sales orders prior to the production schedule date</li> <li>Inspect and ensure the quality of raw materials as it is pulled and report damages or defects</li> <li>Maintain systems and communicate any inventory shortages</li> <li>Maintain accurate records and assist the receiving clerk in identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory</li> <li>Perform regular cycle counts</li> <li>Maintain inventory accuracy within the ERP system</li> <li>Determine the method of packaging, crating, boxing or skidding shipments</li> <li>Plan transfer of product/materials to shipping doc and load products/materials on trucks or trailers</li> <li>Understand and comply with warehouse safety rules and guidelines</li> <li>Bring your skills to work every day expecting to be a critical part of the success of the department</li> <li>Have the ability to listen, learn, and grow new skills as opportunities arise</li> <li>Be a team player</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>An individual who is self-driven and task oriented</li> <li>Previous warehouse experience</li> <li>Requires ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane license through inhouse training</li> <li>Previous experience with ERP system and process of inventory management entry</li> <li>Ability to read and understand blueprints</li> <li>Ability to use a tape measure and other hand tools</li> <li>Ability to lift 25-50 pounds frequently</li> <li>High level of attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to execute on SOP, quality, and safety practices</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workflow effectively to accomplish deadlines</li> <li>Good communication skills</li> </ul>
