Full Time

Overview: Responsible to support the manufacturing team in their efforts to produce product according to customer demand. This includes assisting in the creation, correction, and interpretation of drawings, BOMs, routings, transactions, etc., as well as leading projects as necessary. Improve the business by contributing, supporting, and implementing ideas to enhance processes and practices for the manufacturing value stream. Lead by example to create a positive culture by ensuring a safe work environment, always exhibiting honesty, and respecting other people at all times.<br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support production team members in the continual improvement of production processes.</li> <li>Support production in the development of processes that are repeatable and safe.</li> <li>Support purchasers on ensuring vendor quality.</li> <li>Support and lead the implementation of new designs and updated designs into production.</li> <li>Support supply chain and production in the creation of quality testing and first articles.</li> <li>Oversee and participate in a maintenance system that ensures strong uptime of machinery and equipment.</li> <li>Assist in training systems and methodology.</li> <li>Ensure the completion of manufacturing routings in a timely and accurate manner.</li> <li>Responsiveness to production team members when issues arise (stop and fix)</li> <li>Support production in ensuring that standards are being adhered to and that parts are of high quality are being produced according to specifications.</li> <li>Oversee internal and external quality certifications (ISO, training certifications, etc.)</li> <li>Assist production in building quality into the processes.</li> <li>Assist in responding to and eliminating warranty and quality issues that arise.</li> <li>Lead or assist in leading key manufacturing related projects of various scale.</li> <li>Understand and promote Senneca mission and values at all times and ensure that safety policies and procedures are being followed.</li> <li>Exhibit respectful behavior and communication at all times.</li> <li>Effectively use metrics and visual management systems to define, measure, and improve performance to both internal and external customers and ensure customer satisfaction.</li> <li>Continually develop and train on new skills and processes.</li> <li>Confirm that standardized countermeasures/best practices are maintained, sustained, and improved.</li> <li>Lead or participate in improvement events.</li> <li>Be flexible with work schedule as necessary to get expected results.</li> <li>Create results by working effectively through, and bringing out the best, in team members.</li> <li>Be aware of, and escalate any personnel issues to Manager and HR Director as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Education: 4-year degree from accredited college or university in either Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineering or Ten (10) years proven engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Two (2) to Five (5) years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, 3D drawings, improvement projects</li> <li>Good attitude at all times</li> <li>Ability to teach others</li> <li>Process thinker</li> <li>Mastery of 5S, waste elimination, and other lean principles</li> <li>Ability to use and create 2D and 3D drawings on both CAD and SolidWorks</li> <li>ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001</li> <li>Ability to use ERP system</li> <li>Problem solving: root cause analysis and corrective action</li> <li>Continual learner</li> <li>Flexible and adaptable to frequent change</li> <li>Develop in depth knowledge of product line and processes</li> <li>Fluent in English</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups such as engineering, sales, etc.</li> <li>Microsoft office series</li> <li>Good interpersonal skills (getting along with others)</li> <li>Ability to lead team to strong results and achieve strategic results requiring teamwork</li> </ul> Tools and Equipment<br /> <ul> <li>Computer, phone, ERP, design software such as CAD and SolidWorks, maintenance software, etc.</li> <li>Machinery, equipment, and measuring tools appropriate to the manufacturing environment</li> <li>CAD, SolidWorks, and other design software</li> <li>Forklift Operation as needed</li> </ul> Work Environment<br /> <ul> <li>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.</li> <li>Exposure to production shop conditions; including moving mechanical equipment, and exposure to various fumes, heat, cold, and irritants.</li> <li>The noise level can be high due to operation of production equipment.</li> <li>Proper clothing attire must be worn. No torn clothes/excessively dirty clothes shall be worn during working hours.
