Overview: We are searching for an experienced Plant Manager at our manufacturing facility in Minneapolis, MN. This role requires a highly experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to oversee the full cycle of a start-up plant. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Direct and coordinate activities of multiple departments, through subordinate supervisors and plant employees, with full accountability for results in terms of safety, on-time delivery, costs, quality, capacity, operations, and personnel.</li> <li>Plan and coordinate work in collaboration with the sales team&rsquo;s requirements.</li> <li>Responsible for developing and increasing the production capacity required to meet monthly and yearly shipping goals.</li> <li>Maintain performance standards, check progress, analyze workflow delays, and take remedial action.</li> <li>Responsible for purchasing and maintaining material inventories to meet customer commitments.</li> <li>Evaluate and recommend staffing needs, shift requirements, and equipment needs.</li> <li>Interview screened applicants, train and retain employees.</li> <li>Recommend terminations, transfers, promotions, and wage adjustments.</li> <li>Address complaints in conjunction with supervisors and human resources.</li> <li>Interpret and clarify rules, regulations, and general policies.</li> <li>Provide general supervision over departments where skilled workers are used in the production of door and frame products.</li> <li>Manage daily operations in our plant facility.</li> <li>Ensure the safety and efficiency of the facility.</li> <li>Test and monitor plant processes.</li> <li>Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports.</li> <li>Maintain all safety and administrative records.</li> <li>Control costs to achieve company budget goals.</li> <li>Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.</li> <li>Champion continuous improvement efforts.</li> <li>Observe, provide recommendations, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.</li> <li>Manage the Environmental Health and Safety program for the facility.</li> <li>Must be able to manage in a fast-paced environment and provide the safest working environment possible.</li> </ul>
