Overview: <p>We are searching for an experienced Value Stream Leader at our&nbsp;<strong>Salt Lake City, UT</strong>&nbsp;facility.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Value Stream Leader</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Value Stream Leader in manufacturing to work at our Salt Lake City, UT location (Subzero Engineering). This position will report to the Director of Operations and lead multiple production lines.<br /> </p> <p>Performs activities involved in managing all department employees and complies with all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. This position requires overall knowledge of equipment and plant processes. Coordinates production flow, identify/resolve issues, make improvements, and optimally achieve all safety, quality, and customer service objectives. Becomes proficient in all jobs and directly trains production employees within area(s) of responsibility. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensures all production employees are aligned and tracked to the same targets for 5S, OTD, and labor productivity.</li> <li>This position requires good overall knowledge of products, equipment and processes and procedures which must be maintained through demonstrated skill and ability to perform all jobs in the department product line area.</li> <li>Works closely with team members across departments to establish priorities; ensuring on-time shipments to customers, meeting quality expectations, and other activities as needed.</li> <li>Drives Value Stream operations to ensure productivity, delivery, quality, safety, and budget goals are achieved.</li> <li>Must demonstrate good communication skills.</li> <li>Must possess skill in documenting, recording, and organizing data/information.</li> <li>Willingness to gain knowledge of and practice Continuous Improvement and use</li> <li>Operational Excellence tools to meet manufacturing and business needs.</li> <li>Review production paperwork to verify customer orders are being produced correctly and are on schedule.</li> <li>Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and actively implements solutions to achieve desired operational goals and results.</li> <li>Monitors product quality standards and participates in quality audits to insure consistent and reliable quality is being produced and shipped daily.</li> </ul>
Requirements: Required Experience:<br /> <ul> <li>You have manufacturing leadership experience in a manual assembly operation</li> <li>You have proven history improving safety, quality, delivery and cost</li> <li>You have a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles</li> <li>Preferred Experience: <ul> <li>Two years Lean Operations experience strongly preferred.</li> <li>Five years of manufacturing industry preferred.</li> <li>Experience with MS Suite and Monday boards.</li> <li>Bilingual (English and Spanish)</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br />Education:<br /> <ul> <li>Associate&rsquo;s degree required or equivalent relevant experience.</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li> <li>Minimum five years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, may be considered in lieu of, or in conjunction with educational requirements.</li> </ul> <br />Competencies:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Good written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts, including 6S.</li> <li>Team building skills including ability to resolve conflict while maintaining harmonious work environment.</li> <li>Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.</li> <li>Working knowledge of ERP/MRP (Infor Syteline preferred) and inventory flow/control.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with detail, accuracy and timeliness.</li> <li>Must be able to perform multiple functions simultaneously and prioritize those functions to meet the needs of internal/external customers.</li> <li>Prior experience training and developing teams and individuals.</li> </ul> <br />Physical Requirements:<br /><br />The work environment is in manufacturing facility where frequent interruptions, distractions and moderate levels of noise occur. It requires wearing safety glasses (provided) and other required personal protective equipment.
