Overview: <p>We are searching for an experienced Director of Operations at our&nbsp;<strong>Mankato, MN</strong>&nbsp;facility.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> We are looking for a skilled Director of Operations to oversee and develop management of all areas of Operations. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversee all operational functions to meet customer commitments, including timely shipments, quality assurance, and cost objectives.</li> <li>Lead site-level operations teams to optimize order processing, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and returns.</li> <li>Ensure appropriate staffing levels aligned with operational needs and budgetary targets.</li> <li>Implement training programs to standardize and elevate performance across all facilities.</li> <li>Develop and execute operational policies aimed at increasing competitiveness and profitability.</li> <li>Identify and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, minimize waste and scrap, and maintain production standards.</li> <li>Direct capital expenditure plans and manage major operational projects (e.g., facility reconfiguration, new equipment installations).</li> <li>Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.</li> <li>Experience managing multi-site operations.</li> <li>Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, equipment, and process improvement strategies.</li> <li>Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across all organizational levels and external stakeholders.</li> </ul> <br /> Required Qualifications:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in metal fabrication or a related industry.</li> </ul>
