Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Uphold and promote Senneca&rsquo;s Mission and Values while ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures</li> <li>Lead selected projects including research, justification, implementation, startup, training, and achieving target conditions</li> <li>Support manufacturing operations in meeting customer demand and production goals</li> <li>Oversee the creation, correction, and interpretation of drawings, BOMs, routings, and system transactions</li> <li>Provide direct supervision to maintenance associates and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers</li> <li>Drive make-vs.-buy decisions to optimize cost and efficiency</li> <li>Lead or support capital projects, product line transfers, lean initiatives, and robotic welding improvements</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sales teams</li> <li>Promote a positive culture, safe work environment, and respectful workplace</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Production Engineering (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Experience with 3D drawings, process improvement, and capital projects</li> <li>Strong knowledge of automation and manufacturing systems</li> <li>Proven problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and corrective actions</li> <li>Strong collaboration and communication skills</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li> </ul> <br /><strong><br />Preferred Qualifications</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Experience with lean manufacturing principles (5S, waste reduction, flow optimization)</li> <li>Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks for 2D and 3D design</li> <li>Knowledge of ISO and AWS standards</li> <li>Experience working with ERP systems</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Tools &amp; Equipment</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Proficiency with ERP systems, CAD/SolidWorks, and maintenance software</li> <li>Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, equipment, and measurement tools</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Work performed on the production floor with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and mechanical equipment</li> <li>Required use of PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection</li> <li>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods</li> <li>Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Expected Behaviors</strong><br />All employees are expected to embody Senneca&rsquo;s Mission and Values:<br /> <ul> <li>Doorway to Success &ndash; Exceed customer expectations</li> <li>I Am They &ndash; Take ownership of problems and solutions</li> <li>Feel the Learn &ndash; Develop oneself and others</li> <li>Speak Up and Listen &ndash; Communicate openly to drive positive change</li> </ul>
