Overview: The Production Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly and build process of commercial door frames. Working under the direction of Value Stream Leader and area leads, this position ensures that daily production schedules are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assemble commercial door frames and related products using hand and power tools.</li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Perform quality inspections throughout the build or packaging process.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Identify material defects or incorrect conditions and report them to supervision.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area that supports production flow.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Follow SOPs, production schedules, safety protocols, 5S principles, and Standard Work Instructions.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies as needed.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Review and interpret project specifications, Standard Work, and work instructions.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Assemble commercial door frames using appropriate equipment, hand tools, and power tools.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Perform quality checks throughout the build process to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and following 5S.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset and support continuous improvement initiatives.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Participate in required training.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Understand the names of common tools and use them correctly and safely.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Accurately use a tape measure.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and techniques as needed.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Perform basic assembly and packaging tasks using work instructions.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Identify basic quality defects.<br /></span></li> <li>Follow established procedures, contribute to continual improvement, and promote a culture of quality,</li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">environmental responsibility, and workplace safety.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Maintain regular and consistent attendance.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Perform other duties as assigned.<br /></span></li> </ul> <p><strong>SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Comply with all OSHA, and company safety policies, procedures and requirements.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: large;">environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Attend scheduled safety training.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Actively support the organization&rsquo;s efforts to meet or exceed safety goals and plans.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Recommend improved safety practices.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Practices safe work habits and follows general safety procedures such as proper lifting and bending, ergonomics, proper use of equipment and use of personal protection equipment (PPE).<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Adheres to and ensures lockout procedures are followed any time the equipment is being cleaned or maintained.<br /></span></li> </ul> <p><strong>PRODUCT SAFETY AND QUALITY:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Responsible for supporting and complying with the company&rsquo;s Integrated Management System, which aligns with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards.<br /></span></li> <li><span style="font-size: large;">Promotes a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility by following established IMS procedures aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.</span></li> </ul>
