Shareworks by Morgan Stanley is designed to simplify the complexities of equity plan management, while helping employees realize the full potential of their benefits.<br /><br />We currently have a <strong>full-time</strong>, permanent opportunity for:&nbsp;<strong>Financial Reporting Specialist</strong><br /><br />Located in downtown <strong>Calgary, AB</strong> and<strong> reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Direct Service</strong>, this position will be responsible for providing hands-on expense reporting support and expertise to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to help develop and document expense reporting best practices, and then share this knowledge with colleagues and clients with regards to Shareworks.<br /><br />Solium is a fast growing Company where every member of our team is integral to our success. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Leveraging existing knowledge of financial reporting in order to educate and support clients through the implementation process.</li> <li>Providing hands-on support for clients with regards to financial reporting in Shareworks, including but not limited to:</li> <ul> <li>Data uploads</li> <li>Shareworks financial reporting set-up as per IFRS &amp; GAAP guidelines</li> <li>Data analysis</li> <li>Expense reconciliations</li> <li>Report generation</li> </ul> <li>Guide and support clients through financial reporting requirements during Corporate Actions and Events</li> <li>Develop and document appropriate processes in relation to financial reporting; identify opportunities for improvement and work to implement them</li> <li>Working to develop financial reporting best practices and educate colleagues and clients on them</li> <li>Evangelize within Solium and with clients about the importance and impact of the financial reporting functionality within Shareworks.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics Commerce or similar is preferred</li> <li>Minimum 3 years&rsquo; experience in financial services or the FinTech industry</li> <li>Experience with Shareworks or equity compensation administration a definite asset</li> <li>Completion of or enrollment in the CEP Program is an asset</li> <li>Knowledge of the valuation of stock options and other equity award types is an asset.</li> <li>Proven success in communicating clearly with customers for the purposes of training and providing exceptional service</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data manipulation purposes</li> <li>Demonstrated proficiency with technology and technical concepts, including but not limited to the Microsoft office suite, including Intermediate level Excel</li> <li>Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities</li> </ul>
