Part Time

Overview: We&rsquo;re seeking a Dishwasher to ensure dishes and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored while supporting a smooth and efficient dining service. Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Support a positive customer service culture in the dining room</li> <li>Transport dishes to the kitchen and maintain a clean dining area</li> <li>Clear, wash, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and tabletop items</li> <li>Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas</li> <li>Ensure safe work practices for yourself and coworkers; comply with Safety Committee Standards</li> <li>Complete sanitation and cleanup tasks for dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, sinks, and drains</li> <li>Empty trash and follow daily cleaning schedules</li> <li>Assist with serving residents in the dining room as needed</li> <li>Maintain flexibility with daily schedule, including weekends or evenings as needed</li> <li>Display friendliness and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and visitors</li> <li>Provide support during community tours and events</li> <li>Follow dress code and maintain a positive professional image</li> <li>Report elder maltreatment or abuse as required to appropriate management and authorities</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Culinary Services</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred</li> <li>Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred</li> <li>Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations</li> <li>Must be 18 years or older</li> <li>Meet health requirements including health screening and TB clearance</li> <li>Pass state-required fingerprinting and criminal background check</li> <li>First Aid certification required</li> <li>Compassion for and desire to work with older adults</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to understand and follow instructions, plan and organize tasks</li> <li>Self-motivated with strong customer service work ethic</li> <li>Pleasant, professional, and personable with excellent organizational skills</li> </ul> <br />Physical Requirements<br /> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance</li> <li>Ability to talk, hear, and use vision effectively</li> <li>Occasional weekend, evening, or night work and on-call as needed</li> <li>Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, latex, and other hazards</li> <li>Ability to lift and assist as needed, up to 50 lbs occasionally</li> <li>Frequent interaction with coworkers, residents, and vendors</li> </ul> <br />
