Overview: <p>The COD Service Tech will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repair services on Commercial HVAC Systems; including; Rooftop Package Units, Frequency Drives, Low, Medium and High Pressure Duct Systems, DX, VAV&rsquo;s, FPB&rsquo;s, Control, Split Systems, Boilers, Chilled and Hot Water, Pumps, Towers, WSHP&rsquo;s and Heat Exchangers, Electrical Low and High Voltage, Makeup Air Units (AAON), Fan Coils with Mixing Boxes, Exhaust Fans, Heaters, Electric and Gas, Radiant and Tube, VRV Systems (Daikin and Mitsubishi), and Pool Pak and Dectron Units.</p> <p>We believe our employees are the most valuable business strength; therefore, it is important to us that we take care of our own. Responsibilities: <p><u>Essential Functions</u>:</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshoot, repair, service and maintain all types of Commercial HVAC equipment.</li> <li>Effective Communication with customers, dispatchers and managers on a daily basis.</li> <li>Complete all invoices, warranty forms, and time sheets essential for each service call.</li> <li>Maintain the company vehicle and tools in a safe, clean and organized manner.</li> <li>Keep truck inventory stocked and organized.</li> </ul> <p><u>Accountabilities</u>:</p> <ul> <li>Represent Yellow Dot Heating and Air Conditioning in a kind and courteous manner.</li> <li>Must exhibit a professional appearance and wear Yellow Dot uniforms</li> <li>Technicians start time is 7:30 am and on your first call by 8:00.</li> <li>Technicians must attend all service and safety meetings unless on an approved day off.</li> <li>Service Reports are to be completed on your I-Pad in detail and presented to the customer for approval and payment before leaving jobsite.</li> <li>Complete a monthly vehicle inspection report due at the first meeting of each month.</li> <li>Properly diagnose system failures and communicate to the customer their options for repair or replacement in an informative and professional manner.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><u>Job Qualifications</u>:</p> <ul> <li>You are a seasoned professional and considered by others to be a Top-Tier Technician.</li> <li>High School Diploma &ndash; Tech School Graduates preferred, but not required</li> <li>3 &ndash; 5 years Commercial Service Experience &ndash; Controls Experience is a Plus+</li> <li>Special Certifications and Factory Training are a Bonus and will be considered for compensation.</li> <li>CFC certification is required &ndash; Universal is preferred</li> <li>A strong working knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems, Controls, and Building Controls and Automation Systems is highly preferred</li> <li>Good driving record with a current NCDL, a clean background check and be drug free</li> <li>Willingness to be in the 24/7 on-call Rotation and work extended hours to cover call volumes.</li> <li>Exceptional communication and customer service skills</li> <li>Ability to work well within a team environment.</li> <li>Mentoring and Training are a way of life for you!</li> </ul>
