Overview: <br /> <br />Reporting to the Director of Discovery Biology, the In Vivo Pharmacology Senior Research Associate will design and perform in vivo pharmacology experiments in support of projects for Oncology R&D programs. This role will embrace a culture of scientific excellence, rigorous innovation, collaboration, and teamwork in a cross-functional setting. This individual will have significant experience in conducting in vivo animal Oncology studies in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. This individual will be expected to collaborate on projects and contribute study findings, as well as mentor junior Research Associates.<br /> <br />
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Experience in conducting and troubleshooting cellular assays and animal tumor model studies.</li> <li>Participate in and contribute to experimental design, protocol, and SOP generation.</li> <li>Lead execution of in vivo laboratory experiments, maintain detailed records, and prepare data summaries of complex scientific studies.</li> <li>Collaborate with others to implement scientific technologies within their functional area.</li> <li>May work as part of a team to develop new intellectual property with the possibility to co-author patent applications and peer-reviewed publications.</li> <li>Manage and organize day-to-day operations within a lab setting.</li> <li>Model SpringWorks Values to drive a collaborative function that embraces change and drives excellence.</li> <li>Prepare data reports and present key findings to internal/external stakeholders.</li> <li>Help to provide work instructions and training to more junior scientific staff in daily activities.</li> <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <p><strong>About You: Required Education, Skills, and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>M.S. in scientific discipline plus 3+ years&rsquo; related experience in biotech/pharma and drug discovery/development setting preferred, or Bachelors in scientific discipline plus 5+ years&rsquo; related experience in biotech/pharma and drug discovery/development setting preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of principles, theories, and practices in scientific discipline, with demonstrated scientific creativity and productivity in drug discovery/development.</li> <li>Experience in developing and executing cellular assays including Western Blots, Immunoprecipitations, qPCR, PCR, cell culture and cloning.</li> <li>Knowledge of histology techniques including tissue staining and imaging capture.</li> <li>Proven experience working with animal models, animal handling, dosing, and sampling.</li> <li>Actively follows current literature where relevant to strategic goals of the company.</li> <li>Ability to assess and contribute to discussion of new scientific areas or technologies.</li> <li>Experience in the interpretation, analysis, documentation, and presentation of key findings.</li> <li>Ability to take initiative and lead other research associates by example and influence.</li> <li>Experience in ensuring safe laboratory practices.</li> <li>Attention to detail in laboratory work to ensure safe laboratory practices.</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to communicate technical and cross-functional data to diverse audiences.</li> <li>Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Proven ability to work within a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>This position is lab-based and will be required to be on-site 5 days a week.</li> </ul> <p>The expected salary range for this position is $85,900.00 - $112,500.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
