Overview: <p>The welder is responsible for cutting, shaping and joining metals for our products.&nbsp; You will responsible for operating equipment needed to put together mechanical structures or parts with accuracy. This job is critical as it is the base for our products infrastructure.<br /><br /></p> <h2>Work Environment</h2> <p>As a welder, your time will be spent in the back shop. You may need to climb ladders or work in confined areas in order to weld pieces of product.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Read prints, such as, blueprints and drawings along with taking and reading measurements</li> <li>Using knowledge from prints and measurements to develop a product plan</li> <li>Determine which type of welding is required for the job, either TIG Welding or MIG Welding</li> <li>Set up the components for welding according to engineering plans</li> <li>Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure the infrastructure is sound</li> <li>Maintain equipment so it will work properly</li> <li><strong>Other Duties:</strong> Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements: <h2>Basic Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Experience using a variety to welding equipment and procedures, specifically, TIG and MIG</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings</li> <li>Detail oriented and dedicated to precision</li> <li>Knowledge of proper safety standards and use of protective clothing</li> <li>Must be able to stand in a stationary position 50% of the day.</li> <li>Must be able to kneel, crouch, or bend as required to position self to weld larger pieces of equipment.</li> <li>Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move materials</li> <li>Must be able to occasionally climb a ladder to weld equipment six feet up and above.</li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li>Experience using a press brake</li> <li>Completed a welding apprenticeship</li> </ul>
