Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements.</li> <li>Monitor nursing department hours daily.</li> <li>Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues.</li> <li>Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing.</li> <li>Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA.</li> <li>Assist in ordering medical supplies and maintain proper inventories for resident use.</li> <li>Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices.</li> <li>Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors.</li> </ul>
