Overview: <p>&ldquo;More Than a Phone&rdquo; is currently seeking an Associate Director of Development to join our team.&nbsp; Our perfect candidate would be equally passionate about serving others and giving back. Our mission at &ldquo;More Than a Phone&rdquo; is to raise funds that allow us to provide smartphones and services with data to survivors of domestic abuse.</p> <p>The Associate Director of Development is primarily responsible for all aspects of nonprofit fundraising and resource development for the organization, including updating, establishing, and executing More Than a Phone&rsquo;s long-term strategic plan. The Associate Director will work in partnership with the Executive Director of TCC Gives to implement and further advance diversified fundraising plans.</p> <p>This position plays a critical role in strategic decision-making as it relates to enhancing the programs, building capacity, and growth. Partnering with the Executive Director of TCC Gives, our ideal candidate will serve as a thought leader in the organization.</p> <p>Candidates must be eager to work in an office environment and able to balance and prioritize competing priorities. Must be able to periodically work long, irregular hours.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul type="disc"> <li>Advance development plan to meet yearly budgetary and programmatic needs while focused on growth.</li> <li>Work with existing fundraising program and implement a donor stewardship program to maximize donor giving capacity and loyalty.</li> <li>Coordinate with Executive Director of TCC Gives, More Than a Phone Board of Directors, and any other necessary leadership to ensure all programs and budgets are accurately described and accounted for regarding grant proposals and reports.</li> <li>Work in partnership and collaboratively with all department leads to ensure alignment throughout all entities.</li> <li>Collaborate with Executive Director of TCC Gives and Program Director of TCC Gives to help develop narratives that demonstrate organizational program impact and opportunities.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Executive Director of TCC Gives to fully support fostering new relationships while maintaining relationships.</li> <li>Create and execute plan to grow the donor base and proactively identify new prospects.</li> <li>Establish a grant program for More Than a Phone.&nbsp; This will include grant writing, and ensuring you have any required information for proposals.</li> <li>Work alongside the program team to identify new opportunities for funding, management of the grant calendar, maintenance, and growth of foundation relationships.</li> <li>Work with nonprofit partners to capture testimonials and other related information needed for encouragement of donor&rsquo;s contribution and funding materials.</li> <li>Manage the corporate donor program including relationship management.</li> <li>Responsible for increasing both the number of corporate donors and average donation.</li> <li>Plan, manage and execute fundraising in-person and virtual events.</li> <li>Plan, manage and execute fundraising campaigns.</li> <li>Oversee all donor acknowledgement and relationships at all levels.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -22px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in philanthropic studies, nonprofit management, business, or event management, required.</li> <li>Fundraising training or certification, preferred.</li> <li>2-3 years of nonprofit fund development experience, including fundraising.</li> <li>Proven and highly effective written and oral communication skills, with an ability to distill complex information into easy-to-understand messages under pressure.</li> <li>Experience producing events and/or fundraising campaigns.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, with a commitment to open and honest communication.</li> <li>Experience working with boards, preferred.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines.</li> <li>Commitment to working collaboratively and in partnership with organizational leaders.</li> <li>Experience directing or managing programs, preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SALARY AND BENEFITS:</strong></p> <p>Competitive benefits package, onsite fitness facility, the ability to work on a remote basis up to two days a week and most of all the ability to do good while having fun.</p> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -87px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
