Strategies will cover the entire marketing lifecycle including but not limited to; campaign design, execution, monitoring, optimization, and analysis. Specifically, the CMCO will be responsible for; brand management, advertising, market research, data analytics, digital management, internal and external communication strategy, community relations and foundation management, and integrating the voice of the customer across the organization.&nbsp; The CMCO is also responsible for driving a unique brand, culture, and value proposition while protecting historic value and reputation. The CMCO will work closely with executive leadership, line of business leaders, and product development to achieve the company&rsquo;s goals and objectives.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Establish and communicate a marketing and communications vision and strategic plan that directly connects the marketing agenda with the company&rsquo;s strategic plan. This plan will ultimately drive higher growth, customer and team member engagement, and puts the customer at the center of everything the bank does.</li> <li>Utilize marketing data and analytics to establish targeted marketing campaigns for the company overall and by a line of business segment resulting in increased revenue and deposits.</li> <li>Establish and implement an innovative multi-channel marketing and communications strategy that capitalizes on; our internal intranet, external website, print media, social media, search engines, email communications and marketing, mobile marketing, blogs, and other technology platforms.</li> <li>Leads the company&rsquo;s market research and customer outreach programs with the goal of gaining an in-depth understanding of our position within our markets and our competition. Gather critical information on customer behaviors, buying patterns, needs, etc. Utilizing the information gathered from this research, provide advice to product development teams across the company on opportunities to enhance products and services.</li> <li>Leads the internal and external communication strategy that drives team member engagement and enhances our employer brand in the marketplace.</li> <li>Provide creative direction and support for all marketing and customer-related materials to ensure consistency with our brand and to reinforce strategic messages.</li> <li>Establish and manage annual marketing, communication, and community relations budget that supports the strategic initiatives required to achieve team member engagement, company goals, and objectives.</li> <li>Participate in research and professional groups to identify new and innovative approaches to drive business growth.</li> <li>Manage strategic company events, conventions, sponsorships, large meetings, media relations, and community engagement opportunities to create an exceptional experience and reinforce our customer and employer brand.</li> <li>Leads the strategy for engaging in the communities and overseeing the TCF Foundation which includes team member volunteerism and charitable giving.</li> <li>Accountable for driving the TCF internal Brand</li> <li>Supports the TCF Purpose &amp; Beliefs and initiatives related to culture</li> <li>Build high performing Marketing, Communications, and Community relations teams that are proactive maintains a high level of excellence and is fully integrated into the lines of business across the company.</li> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to the chairman, CEO, and other executives regarding strategic marketing, internal and external communication initiatives and activities.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Education <ul> <li>Required: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field</li> <li>Strongly Preferred: MBA, JD or advanced degree</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>At least 15 years of related experience in marketing, communication or other line of business leadership including 5+ years in a leadership role. Must be able to work back and forth between management and hands on operation, while still maintaining a strategic focus.</li> <li>Understands changing market dynamics and prepares the company by developing and implementing strategies to meet these changing demands.</li> <li>Must have a Customer Driven attitude to ensure the customer is the center of everything we do.</li> <li>Must have strong strategic, creative and financial acumen as well as strong business intellect to take the organization to the next level.</li> <li>Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation abilities.</li> <li>Has the ability to motivate, inspire and grow a team of marketing professionals.</li> <li>Exhibits superior organizational and strategic planning skills.</li> <li>Financial services and/or banking experience or experience in a highly regulated industry.</li> <li>Experience with charitable foundation work</li> <li>Existing relationships with Community leaders in Detroit, Minneapolis, and/or Chicago</li> <li>Perform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing staff.</li> </ul>
