Overview: The primary role of the Senior Director Residential Lending Operations is to oversee and direct Mortgage Operations and Loan Support teams for Retail, Consumer Direct, and Home Equity origination channels. Areas of focus include and are not limited to disclosure compliance, processing, underwriting, closing, construction department, process improvement, and quality and risk management. The Senior Director of Residential Lending Operations will interact regularly with the Residential Lending and Consumer Banking leadership, Loan Service Center, Audit, Compliance, Accounting, and Executive Management.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supervises, coordinates, coaches, mentors, and counsels team activities to ensure achievement of assigned goals and objectives. Responsible for team member retention, performance, and developmental coaching.</li> <li>Accountable for the short and long term development and communication of key objectives related to the effective and compliant origination of TCF Residential Lending product solutions. Strives to provide an efficient, customer service focused team that delivers high quality service to both internal and external customers.</li> <li>Reviews, maintains, and updates procedures, processes, policies and other requirements directing changes as determined necessary; including new product development and updates to the Product Manual, vendor, appraisal, and contractor lists.</li> <li>Communicate an outgoing, professional, solutions based, and customer first demeanor with customers and team members</li> <li>Manage and oversee complex projects that align with the Consumer Banking strategy, working closely with functional leadership, internal project teams, and external vendors.</li> <li>Manage the internal and external review processes associated responding to Regulatory Examiners, Internal Audit, Quality Control, and Compliance and Loan Review. Provide management responses to any and all findings updating policies and procedures as necessary.</li> <li>Through innovative eyes, leverage various digital and technology investments along with industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and optimization. Work with line of business leadership and corporate teams to identify, analyze, prioritize, pursue and execute business development growth opportunities that result in an exceptional team member and customer experience.</li> <li>Provides weekly/monthly reports to Executive Leadership and internal stakeholders.</li> <li>Investigates and responds to all investor&rsquo;s re-purchase loan requests and quality control file audits.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -130px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with an emphasis in business, finance, accounting, economics, legal, or related field or equivalent work experience</li> <li>12+ years consumer banking, retail mortgage lending, and/or operations management with a financial institution, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.</li> <li>Demonstrated strong management abilities. Highly organized individual with the ability to drive results, motivate team, highly communicative with the ability to present and summarize to all levels of management. Able to assess work priorities and continually reset priorities.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
