Overview: <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You are a project manager, ideally with a PMP certification and several years of experience overseeing multiple facilities and projects concurrently. You have a customer-service orientation and can apply creative solutions to complex problems. You want to be the driving force behind the changes that have a positive cultural effect for teams and clients.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>As the new Manager, Real Estate and Fleet Management, you will focus on:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Lead a project team.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will manage a staff of two and work closely with internal clients, designers, contractors, and other vendors to coordinate the design, layout and interior construction of store destinations including warehouse, office and retail workspaces. You will plan and account for the budget and all tasks in the end-to-end process.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Follow best practices.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will follow the marketing guidelines for corporate branding, furniture and signage.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Manage stakeholders.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will build relationships and manage expectations, communications, escalations, feedback with executive sponsors, vendors, third-party partners. You will be aware of all interdependencies in your project delivery and ensure everyone is aware of the linkages.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Complex</strong> <strong>problem solving.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will proactively take the initiative and the lead for identifying and resolving issues in the project delivery. You will clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to Senior PM where required.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Report.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will lead the cross-discipline project conference calls and present weekly updates including status reporting. You will liaise closely with senior management across the country.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Manage third-party relationships.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will:</span></li> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create, review and award RFP / RFQ documentation for competitive bids on all contracts over $10k.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage and track vendor purchase orders and payments.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Engage movers to relocate inventory, furniture, IT, and heavy equipment.</span></li> </ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Document.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will manage project closure initiatives including gathering and archiving project documentation for future projects.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Travel.</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> You will travel up to 20% of the time to different Canadian locations to oversee the kickoff and the completion of each project and to ensure quality assurance.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The education. You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. You have strong financial analysis and project management skills. Ideal, but not necessary, that you have a PMP certification.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The experience. You have 5+ years of progressive end-to-end project management experience overseeing small to medium cross-functional project teams and integrated projects. You are an expert with MS Office Suite and Project tools.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The optional knowledge. You have worked on renovations, relocations, facilities, and space planning. Additionally, you are well-versed in the language and details of leases, contracts and construction practices.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The analytical skills. You have highly refined problem-solving skills and can efficiently remove roadblocks, presenting multiple end-result options. You have advanced quantitative skills and you are extremely organized and detail oriented. You can expertly create, track and report on key metrics.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The interpersonal capabilities. Your communication skills - written, verbal, presentation- are outstanding. You are comfortable talking to teams from the construction level upwards to C-level executives. You can lead and inspire the work of multiple teams.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The project management skills. You have a confident personality and the intelligence to make well-balanced decisions. You can prioritize and keep your eye on multiple concurrent projects. You are passionate about project management principles and practices. You have extensive experience with project planning and scheduling, budget and forecasting, scope change and risk management.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The responsiveness. You are flexible to travel 10-20% of your time. You can balance multiple concurrent projects at different stages at a time. Travel is usually only needed during construction start and end due to our dedicated on-site team.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additional must-have requirements.
