Someone who can foster a collaborative and goal-driven environment, create a strategy to improve operational efficiencies and increase revenue, and is ready to roll-up their sleeves to make things happen.</p> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>You may be an Operations Manager and you have exposure to a scaling environment and the realities of adapting not just processes, but the team&rsquo;s focus and approach to support rapid growth. You understand client services, storefront management, and warehouse operations. You want to step up to the challenges of managing a sales-driven environment; overseeing people from recruitment to career development. You are a multi-tasker in the truest sense, someone who thrives on juggling multiple priorities, demands and timelines all at once - and doesn&rsquo;t get overwhelmed doing so.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Focus</strong></p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Fostering a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on team wins</strong></em>. This is a team calling out for support, mentorship, and guidance. You will assess the need for additional resources across all groups and manage the recruitment process from end-to-end. You will hold daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to ensure a high level of transparency and clear communication.&nbsp;</li> <li><em><strong>Coaching a sales team.</strong></em> This is a diverse team with a range of experience. You will offer insights, guidance, and motivation. You will support their sales efforts, set and measure targets and empower the team to exceed expectations. You will step in to build relationships within the community to support the region&rsquo;s growth.</li> <li><em><strong>Administration. </strong></em>You will develop strategies to continually improve individual customer acquisitions and retention. You will manage and report on all facets of the business; completing month-end, quarterly and yearly reporting. You will analyze data and critically assess your business to accurately forecast revenue levels and establish appropriate targets to achieve committed goals. You will review, develop and implement procedures that enhance the internal staff and the client experience.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Experience&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li><em><strong>Education and experience.</strong></em> You have a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution and 5+ years of progressive experience in a retail or branch environment leading up to management. You have direct sales management experience. Distribution centre or warehouse environment exposure is an asset.</li> <li><em><strong>A collaborative management style</strong></em>. You have strong people leadership skills. You know how to motivate and inspire a team. You will roll up your sleeves and pitch in where needed. You have exposure to the end-to-end recruitment process, strong business and financial acumen including inventory control and experience in managing all facets of a company &ndash; administration, finance, HR, marketing, sales, and operations.</li> <li><em><strong>Communication</strong></em>. You have experience working in customer-facing roles and leading teams. You love building and fostering relationships with internal and external clients. You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and can explain your ideas and thoughts in a variety of ways to get your point across. You are comfortable communicating on the phone, by email or in person.</li> <li><em><strong>Flexibility and organization. </strong></em>You are an expert at juggling multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines all while keeping your cool. You can prioritize, manage and organize a myriad of tasks as they come up throughout the day, be it from clients or other team members. You can quickly change your course of action to address changing needs and requirements while still delivering on deadlines.&nbsp;</li> <li><em><strong>Technical Skills</strong></em>. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and are comfortable working on a computer, navigating various software and databases.
