Overview: <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>Our client, a leader in the healthcare sector, is seeking a Service Manager in Toronto. This is an opportunity for individuals who like to coach, mentor, and grow a team while introducing efficiency and processes to help the company scale and grow.</p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You are a Service Supervisor or Service Manager in healthcare, retail or related industry looking for a bigger challenge. You have two years of experience as a goal-oriented leader who is meticulous, comfortable with technology and a mechanical environment, and an empathetic listener. You have exposure guiding a team through a period of rapid growth and change, and you want to take on those challenges again. You are someone who wants to go above and beyond to improve the status quo for your team and your clients.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>As the new Service Manager, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Lead. </em>You will oversee the operations and service team, technicians, client coordinators and the support team. You will be actively engaged with your team on the retail floor, providing hands-on support to them and your clients.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>Customer Experience. </em>You are the driving force behind your team to provide a great customer experience. You will develop and maintain relationships with your clients and help the sales and service teams deliver value.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>Train.</em> You will play an integral part in onboarding new staff and providing ongoing training and mentorship to your team. You will work as a coach to help provide a smooth onboarding for new hires or internal role changes and ensure your team has the tools they need to succeed in their role.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>Collaborate.</em> You will work closely with leadership to drive efficiencies, ensure policies are upheld and improve business processes to meet growing market demands. You will help your team navigate this time of growth, working side by side with leadership to be constantly improving.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>The successful new Service Manager will have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>The Experience. </em>You have 2+ years of experience working in operations or logistics, strong leadership skills, and proven expertise in managing a team. You have experience working in customer-facing roles and know how to work with clients to find the best solutions to fit their needs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The Technical Skills.</em> You have a working knowledge of a mechanical environment and are comfortable picking up a tool to get the job done.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The Communication.</em> You can build relationships and establish a level of trust and credibility internally and externally. You have outstanding written and verbal skills. You are comfortable providing feedback and following through to track improvement.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The Empathy. </em>You can navigate any situation in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner and manage escalations as needed.</li> <li><em>Additional must-have requirements.</em> You are able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
