Overview: <p><strong>Our client is searching for a Senior Human Resources Manager with a focus on Health &amp; Safety at their brand new, state of the art facility in Texas.</strong></p> <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Human Resources professional to have a fresh slate to work with. &nbsp;Ideally, we&rsquo;d love to find someone with manufacturing plant experience who wants to work side-by-side with the Plant Manager in all things HR. &nbsp;While there is a focus on Health &amp; Safety, this is a chance to make an impact on creating an atmosphere focused on employee well-being and plant culture. &nbsp;The company is laser focused on living corporate values and building a sustainable future. &nbsp;This role will play a key part in creating an environment where work is a place people want to be and hard work and dedication are recognized.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><em>Collaborate and Support.</em> You will work closely with HR Coordinators and H&amp;S Business Partners at other sites to ensure the smooth people management and policy compliance while acting as valued partner to the Plant Manager.</li> <li><em>Coach</em>. You will provide advice and coaching to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee needs.</li> <li><em>Safety</em>. You will act as the chairperson for all Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings, and coordinate the Corporate Safety Audit. &nbsp;You will create and file all OSHA and ARMA reporting. &nbsp;You will also participate in and investigate injuries and/or property damage at the site.</li> <li><em>Talent.</em> Human Resources responsibilities may include:</li> <li><em>Recruiting</em>. You will work closely with hiring managers and the Plant Supervisor to find and keep the right talent.</li> <li><em>Payroll</em>. You will oversee Kronos&nbsp;timekeeping and payroll administration.</li> <li><em>Health &amp; Benefits</em>. Administer the benefits program for employees in the plant.</li> <li><em>Workers Compensation.</em> &nbsp;Manage all Workers Compensation issues, reporting, and the OSHA log.</li> <li><em>Onboard new employees</em>. You will conduct new employee orientation and safety training.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Education.</em> &nbsp;A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree with a Professional designation in both Human Resources and Health and Safety is preferred. You understand full legal requirements and laws as they pertain to Human Resources and Health and Safety.</li> <li><em>Experience.</em> &nbsp;You&rsquo;ve thrived in a generalist role for at least five years within a high speed process-manufacturing environment.</li> <li><em>Impeccable communication skills</em>. Your active listening and strong communication skills have allowed you to easily develop and nurture relationships in your career. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your strengths include the ability to communicate with any level of employee with respect and compassion.</li> <li><em>Passion for results</em>.
