$19.00 to $19.40 per hour.

Overview: As a Job Coach substitute you will play a vital role in supporting a small group (usually a 1:3 ratio) of individuals at their work site. Job coach substitutes, will fill in for a regular job coach's when they are unavailable due to illness, vacation, or other reasons. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide culturally appropriate direct support to individuals using person-centered approaches and strategies.</li> <li>Ensure completion of work tasks as required by the employer and/or established procedures.</li> <li>Provide ongoing training to clients throughout the workday as needed.</li> <li>Communicate effectively and professionally with employers and other employees at the work site.</li> <li>Demonstrate appropriate work behaviors at all times.</li> <li>Complete electronic documentation prior to the end of shifts.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Requirements for Success:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</li> <li>Valid CA Driver&rsquo;s License with a clean driving record.</li> <li>Immediate access to a vehicle with working seatbelts to transport participants.</li> <li>Comfort driving a full-size van with multiple passengers.</li> <li>Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.</li> <li>High comfort in using multiple computer/mobile device programs.</li> <li>Ability to translate employer needs to individuals with disabilities.</li> <li>Willingness to adhere to dress and appearance standards.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>6 or more months of prior hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.</li> <li>Proficiency in multiple languages (English, Spanish, Tagalog).</li> <li>Experience with electronic case management systems (e.g., Therap).</li> <li>Experience with individual service plans and goal development.</li> <li>Experience and comfort in handling the duties you will be teaching and supporting (e.g., food service, janitorial).</li> </ul> <p>If you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives and possess the qualities and qualifications we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.
