Overview: The Community Inclusion Professional (CIP) &ndash; FLOATER supports all Community Inclusion Services (CIS) teams across San Diego County, working 100% in a variety of community-based settings within an assigned geographical service area of San Diego County, providing culturally appropriate direct support services to different groups of Program clients. The CIP Floater fills in for planned and unplanned vacancies and absences of CIPs. On days where no direct support is needed, supports Director and Program Managers with community site development, employment site development and administrative/desk duties and projects.<br /> <br />The pay range for this position is $18.50-$19.00 + $1,500 hiring bonus.<br /> <br />Monday- Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm.<br /> <br /> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Believe in empowering individuals in living their most independent lives</li> <li>Are flexible and adaptable to different situations</li> <li>Have an educator mindset</li> <li>Take pride in being a reliable and inclusive member of a team</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Providing culturally appropriate direct support to individuals using person-centered approaches and strategies including:</li> <li>Filling in for planned and unplanned vacancies and absences</li> <li>Provides coaching, supervision and support to clients in community-based service setting.</li> <li>Designs, implements and facilitates a weekly and monthly lesson plan</li> <li>Proactively identifying and facilitating job, training, volunteer or other community activities for program participants</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li> <li>Valid CA Driver&rsquo;s License with clean driving record</li> <li>Immediate access to vehicle with working seatbelts to transport participants</li> <li>Comfort driving a full size van with multiple passengers</li> <li>Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs</li> <li>High comfort in using multiple computer /mobile device programs&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge relating to the rights and support services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities</li> </ul> <p><strong>We&rsquo;d love it if you:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Had 6 or more months of prior hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities</li> <li>Are multi-lingual (English, Spanish, Tagalog)</li> <li>Have experience with electronic case management systems (Therap)</li> <li>Have experience with individual service plans (goal development)</li> </ul> <br /> <p>The Arc of San Diego is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
