This position will support our MCRD Food Services and will work 4 days per week at MCRD Food Services and 1 day per week at the HR office.<br /> <ul> <li>Pay: $23.10- $28</li> <li>Status- Full-Time</li> <li>Schedule- Mon- Fri 8a-5p</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Who you are :</strong><br /> <br />You are an organized and detail-oriented HR professional who excels at managing personnel files, processing documents, and ensuring compliance throughout the employee lifecycle. Your ability to prioritize tasks and deliver excellent customer service sets you apart. You are dedicated to supporting both employees and managers with HR-related queries and processes.<br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Providing guidance on company policies and HR topics such as benefits, training, time &amp; attendance, workers' compensation, and leaves of absence.</li> <li>Assisting managers and employees with requests for information, ensuring timely and accurate responses.</li> <li>Communicating closely with candidates throughout the pre-employment screening process.</li> <li>Performing I-9 verification using eVerify and escalating any issues to the Vice President of Human Resources.</li> <li>Maintaining complete and up-to-date personnel files.</li> <li>Spending 4 days per week at MCRD Food Services and 1 day per week at the HR office.</li> <li>Collaborating with management on Mess Attendant hiring needs and maintaining detailed applicant records.</li> <li>Offering, prescreening, hiring, and onboarding employees into the MCRD food services program.</li> <li>Providing person-centered customer service during the offer and prescreening process.</li> <li>Organizing and managing annual compliance training and open enrollment meetings.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate&rsquo;s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.</li> <li>One year of experience in various HR disciplines such as recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and benefits.</li> <li>Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and advanced MS Office skills.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of employment law preferred.</li> <li>Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.</li> <li>Valid California Driver&rsquo;s license and current auto insurance.</li> </ul> <strong>We&rsquo;d love it if you:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.</li> <li>Have strong organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Are capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service.</li> </ul> <br />The Arc of San Diego is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
