Overview: <p>As a<strong><a href="https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:47c6824d-55ba-4a5f-91a7-49cd3e3617ac" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">&nbsp;Job Coach</a>&nbsp;Sub</strong>&nbsp;at The Arc of San Diego&rsquo;s MCRD Group Support program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they work in a food service environment.&nbsp;The substitute job coach performs all the duties and responsibilities of a regular job coach during their absence, ensuring continuity of support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at their work site.&nbsp;Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and train clients, ensuring they successfully complete their tasks while meeting the required standards of quality and productivity. You will also help clients develop their vocational skills and integrate into the workplace, fostering positive relationships with staff and stakeholders at the site. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supervise and provide job coaching support to individuals with disabilities as they work at the MCRD site.</li> <li>Provide training and guidance to help clients develop job skills and meet work tasks as required by the Military and Sodexo.</li> <li>Assist clients in following their Individual Service Plans (ISP) to promote independence.</li> <li>Build positive relationships with clients, coworkers, and site staff.</li> <li>Monitor and document client progress using the Therap system.</li> <li>Ensure client safety and support them in daily activities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A high school diploma or GED.</li> <li>At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred).</li> <li>A valid California Driver&rsquo;s License and a clean driving record.</li> <li>Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.</li> <li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile devices.</li> <li>Experience with electronic case management systems like Therap is a plus.</li> </ul>
