In this role, you will maintain and repair complex irrigation systems on a large military base (Miramar), ensuring that all pipes, valves, clocks, and controllers are functioning properly while maintaining safety standards and contract requirements.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>Who You Are:</strong></div> <ul> <li>A task-oriented individual who enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems independently</li> <li>Someone with strong technical skills and an eye for maintaining industry standards</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems</li> <li>Operating equipment such as tractors and backhoes to excavate and install new systems</li> <li>Identifying broken or malfunctioning parts and making repairs promptly</li> <li>Adjusting watering schedules based on weather and water usage requirements</li> <li>Collaborating with the Project Supervisor to meet service contract requirements</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree or certification in irrigation (or the ability to obtain certification within one year)</li> <li>At least 3 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systems</li> <li>Strong knowledge of water conservation practices, including CIMIS</li> <li>Experience with both electronic and manual watering systems</li> <li>A valid California Driver&rsquo;s License with a clean driving record</li> <li>The ability to work independently, while following safety protocols</li> </ul> <div><strong>We&rsquo;d Love It If You:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Have experience working with drought-tolerant plants and native species</li> <li>Are bilingual (English/Spanish)</li> <li>Have prior experience supervising a work crew or team</li> </ul>
