Overview: <p>The Project Manager, Landscaping manages three landscaping teams servicing multiple locations throughout San Diego County and is the primary operational point of contact for The Arc of San Diego&rsquo;s government customers. Assesses, plans, prices, schedules and implements landscape construction projects in addition to performing landscape maintenance work. Provides supervision to Grounds Maintenance Project Supervisor, Crew Leads, and groups of individuals with disabilities who are clients in The Arc&rsquo;s group supported employment program.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Believe in empowering individuals in living their most independent lives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Are flexible and adaptable to different situations.</li> <li>Expert in Grounds Maintenance Operations.</li> <li>Knowledge and expert managing multiple landscaping programs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Successful supervisor of employees; including interviewing, hiring, training, information sharing, counseling, scheduling and timekeeping.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Developing scope of work based on contract needs.</li> <li>Assessing, planning, pricing, scheduling and implementing landscape construction projects.</li> <li>Maintaining open, positive working relationship with all representatives of contracting entities, vendors, subcontractors through continuous communication and attendance at walk-throughs.</li> <li>Safely operating all types of hand and power tools and equipment including tractors, riding mowers, power edges and blowers, large chain saws and power trimmers.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.</li> <li>A minimum of four (4) years of related work experience, including at last two (2) years assessing, planning, developing pricing, scheduling, and implementing landscape construction projects.</li> <li>Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience.</li> <li>Proven ability to assesses, plan, price out, schedule and implement landscape construction projects.</li> <li>C-27 Contractor License required or will need to be successfully obtained within first six (6) month of employment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;We&rsquo;d love it if you:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and/or experience working with people with disabilities</li> <li>Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and organizations skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Bilingual English- Spanish preferred</li> <li>Skilled in hand and machine maintenance</li> </ul>
