In this role, you&rsquo;ll take the lead in managing daily operations at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Point Loma, helping us deliver up to 15,000 meals a day, 365 days a year. Responsibilities: <ul> <li><strong>Leading and supporting SCA Food Service Workers as they:</strong> <ul> <li>Keep the mess hall, common areas, and loading docks clean, sanitized, and ready for service.</li> <li>Serve meals with care, efficiency, and a positive attitude<strong>.</strong></li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Training and mentoring new team members</strong>, helping them learn proper procedures and feel confident in their roles<strong>.</strong></li> <li><strong>Bridging communication </strong>between employer expectations and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities&mdash;empowering them to succeed and grow in their work.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Comfortable working in a high volume, mission-driven environment at our military site.</li> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Minimum six (6) months experience in high volume, fast paced, food service environment.</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain an MCRD Base Food Handler&rsquo;s Card; training and certification provided upon hire and periodically thereafter.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and move up to 50 lbs. when needed.</li> <li>Comfortable wearing a uniform and taking pride in presenting a clean, professional appearance as part of a team.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>We&rsquo;d Be Excited If You Also:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Have experience as a <strong>Job Coach</strong> and enjoy helping others grow and succeed in their roles.</li> <li>Are <strong>bilingual in English and Spanish</strong>, helping us better connect with and support our diverse community.</li> <li>Bring at least <strong>6 months of experience working with individuals</strong> with intellectual and developmental disabilities&mdash;your compassion and understanding make a real difference.</li> </ul>
