You and your team provide care and training to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting &ndash; helping with dressing, bathing, cooking food, and transport to their daily activities, teaching them to adopt new skills and improve their independence. Together, you will also go on recreational outings, enjoying life out and about in the community. As the lead, you will assist the supervisor with the daily operations of the house and provide direction, training and support to the other residential specialists.</p> <p>The pay for this position is $21.00 to $21.65</p> <p>This position is located in Lakeside.</p> <p>The hours for this position is <strong>Sunday through Thursday 12p-8pm.</strong></p> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Believe in empowering individuals in living their most independent lives</li> <li>A strong communicator and team player who fosters a positive home environment</li> <li>Organized and dependable, with an eye for safety and compliance</li> <li>Adaptable and able to step into a leadership role when needed</li> </ul> </div> </div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Supporting residents with daily living activities and personal care</li> <li>Leading engaging activities that promote independence and socialization</li> <li>Administering medications as necessary</li> <li>Assisting in training and supporting residential staff</li> <li>Ensuring safety, compliance, and accurate documentation</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ol> <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)</li> <li>Must meet, at minimum, one of the following criteria: <ol> <li>Possession of a valid vocational nurse or psychiatric technician license issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.</li> <li>Completion of at least 30 college or university units in education, social services, behavioral sciences, health sciences, or related fields, AND six (6) months experience providing direct support to developmentally disabled persons.</li> <li>Eighteen (18) months experience providing direct services to developmentally disabled person under the supervision of a qualified intellectual disability professional.</li> </ol> </li> <li>Valid California Driver&rsquo;s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.</li> </ol> <p><strong>We&rsquo;d love it if you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have experience with case management systems (Therap preferred)</li> <li>Are bilingual in English and Spanish</li> <li>Have previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits &amp; Perks:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, paid training, employee perks, and more!</li> </ul> <p>If you&rsquo;re a compassionate leader who wants to make a real impact, apply today!</p>
