Responsibilities: <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Manages submission of statistical filings/reports as required by regulatory authorities and state insurance industry organizations and submits statistical filings as required (i.e. PCIAA-ISS, HLDI, MAIPF, IIHS, Market Conduct-NAIC, MBPIA, AIPSO, Fast Track, etc.).&nbsp; Provides direction to staff on the technical requirements in programming, file formats, media specification, definitions, techniques, analyzing of data, and software requirements.&nbsp; Manages maintenance and review of production user systems and documentation for statistical reporting.&nbsp; Supports reporting efforts for new product implementations and/or revisions to existing products in all states and lines of business.&nbsp; Provides supervision when addressing concerns presented by reporting agencies, works with internal affected areas to address the concern and maintenance of documentation in support of the submissions.&nbsp; Coordinates responses to special requests from state Insurance departments, regulatory agencies and internal company departments.&nbsp; Act as company administrator for various state Company and Book of Business reporting portals.&nbsp; Act as liaison to other business areas in safeguarding data quality and integrity. Represent the department on cross-functional adhoc/policy fix/development teams as needed.&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Coordinates state insurance department rate/rule and form filings with input from other company departments.&nbsp; Reviews business requirement packages, analyzes state submission requirements and manages and supports staff in preparation of filings for submission within the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (&ldquo;SERFF&rdquo;).&nbsp; Provides oversight to the rate/rule and form filing process, documentation, and subsequent correspondence with the various insurance departments with input from company departments as necessary.&nbsp; Supports new product implementations and/or revisions to existing products in all states and lines of business.&nbsp; Distributes and maintains manual and policy form information (i.e. Your AAA Connection).&nbsp; Reviews legislative activity, insurance department and other regulatory bulletins in all states to identify changes.&nbsp; Determines and communicates the impact on the company and affiliates.&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Coordinates and manages The Auto Club Group (&ldquo;ACG&rdquo;) Competitive Information Program to include: handling insurance relationship with vendors, analysis of competitive information, and expense control, managing contractual relationship with ISO, IIHS, S&amp;P Global, Independent Statistical Services, and SERFF, and validating billing.&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Work with management team in preparation of annual budget.&nbsp; Cooperates and supports compliance activities of sales and corporate counsel.</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;"><u>Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None):</u></span></div> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Responsible for the selection, hiring, training development and coaching and reviewing of assigned staff.<u>&nbsp;&nbsp;</u>Supervises professional and technical support personnel in the completion of projects.</span></div>
Requirements: <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or a related field.</li> <li>Insurance related coursework (AAN, IIA, ISNA, CPCU, or AICP).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong><u>Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):</u></strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):</span></p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or a related field.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experience:</span></p> <ul> <li>Experience generating reports relative to NAII, NHTSA, HLDI, NAIC, AIPEX, VOLEX requirements and guidelines.</li> <li>Experience with statistical reporting, balancing, design and review.</li> <li>Experience analyzing requests for information to determine required data and interfacing with technical staff to develop appropriate response.</li> <li>Experience managing projects/personnel to stated goals/deadlines.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Knowledge of property/casualty insurance to include:</span></p> <ul> <li>insurance rate/form filing requirements.</li> <li>coverage (ISO and independent).</li> <li>industry practices.</li> <li>insurance publications and data sources.</li> <li>statistical legislative and other regulatory publications.</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Ability to:</span></p> <ul> <li>Analyze rate revisions and statistical changes on all lines of business.</li> <li>Analyze statistical bulletins, insurance department and other regulatory bulletins to facilitate necessary manual changes.</li> <li>Analyze and present information for senior management to enhance corporate decision-making process.</li> <li>Perform analysis of automated/manual systems and processes.</li> <li>Communicate effectively both inside and outside of the department.</li> </ul>
