Responsibilities: <ul> <li>This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Travel sales in a call center environment.</li> <li>Accountable for sales, revenue and profitability, staff development, and ensuring that all policies and procedures set in place by ACG are followed.</li> <li>Provides leadership, guidance, development, and direction to Travel Sales Center staff to optimize sales, grow revenue, and ensure the highest level of service is delivered.</li> <li>Monitors call for quality and to evaluate individual and overall team performance.</li> <li>Resolves complaints from internal and external clients to ensure that a fair and positive outcome is reached.</li> <li>Assists management in developing expense and staffing budget projections.</li> <li>Communicates with vendors to resolve problems as necessary.</li> <li>Participates in the department process related to the selection, hiring, training and development, coaching, and counseling of assigned staff.</li> <li>Provides guidance and positive reinforcement to develop proactive sales skills, destination and specialization expertise, strategic use of Continuous Education program, and other training opportunities.</li> <li>Includes ongoing motivation and recognition of sales staff.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Supervises Travel Counselors &ndash; TSC</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>High school diploma or the equivalent.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Experience:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Two years travel agency or directly related work experience that includes successful arranging or selling travel reservations/packages.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Must have demonstrated sales and marketing abilities.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to motivate and develop employees as a team for success</li> <li>Must be organized and manage multiple projects at once with the ability to manage time wisely.</li> <li>Strong PC knowledge that includes word processing and spreadsheets. MS Office applications knowledge is preferred.</li> <li>Creating goals and objectives for staff</li> <li>Negotiating with vendors to obtain quality service for members</li> <li>Problem-solving and complaint resolution</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field</li> <li>CTC, DS, CLIA certifications preferred</li> </ul> <br />Important Note: The above statements describe the principal and essential functions, but not all functions that may be inherent in the job.
