Responsibilities: <p><strong><u>Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the Unit to: provide business system and end-user support, represent the Claims department on project activities for Claims-wide claims management, telephone, and related systems and provide development of future Fast Accessible Claims Technology System (&ldquo;FACTS&rdquo;) interfaces.</li> <li>Manage business activities related to the development, implementation and administration of software and telephone systems impacting claim functions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Represent the Claims department on internal project teams for new systems and system enhancements.</li> <li>Plan, coordinate, approve and control related business readiness activities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work with the Information System Department (&ldquo;ISD&rdquo;) and change committees to define multi-year system release plans and provides custodianship of roadmap documents.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain and administer business components of system configurations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate and approve end-user security access to Claims systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lead joint application development (&ldquo;JAD&rdquo;) sessions with IT to develop, review, test and approve business requirements and functional specifications.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage User Acceptance Testing for all major releases to include: development of test cases, scheduling, facilitation, pilot training, defect identification, reporting and retesting resolutions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage production validation for system releases.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage the development, review and approval of business requirements and functional specifications.</li> <li>Provide end-user support, such as system-related training in cooperation with Corporate Education, and otherwise promote the efficient and effective use of systems and related processes and procedures.</li> <li>Lead knowledge transfer to L&amp;D for all new or enhanced system functionality.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide third level application help desk support and problem resolution.&nbsp;</li> <li>Represent Claims in identifying, prioritizing, testing and approving production defect fixes and enhancements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide content management for department-wide policy and procedure documentation, including the Claim Resource Library.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide department-wide communication on behalf of Claims management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Compile documentation and report for review by management personnel.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <div><u>Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None):</u></div> <ul> <li>Participate in the process of selecting, hiring, training, development, counseling and discipline of assigned staff in accordance with corporate Human Resource policies and procedures.</li> </ul>
