Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist the Field Vice President by performing sales planning, budgeting, and analysis.</li> <li>Under minimal supervision, create sales and revenue models using pipeline analysis, and understanding of key sales performance indicators.</li> <li>Collect, structure, and analyze data related to sales trends, pricing, performance metrics, market share, and other sales-related statistics that drive sales performance.</li> <li>Produce reports that provide insight and guidance to management for sales strategy development and maximum sales efficiency.</li> <li>Utilize models for forecast potential outcomes.</li> <li>Work closely with marketing and finance to create effective, strategic, and competitive sales goals. Review sales operating expenses and develop tools to measure expenditures.</li> <li>Prepare and distribute various reports for use by Field Sales Leaders and Development Specialists across all distribution channels within the assigned region.</li> <li>Collaborate with leaders in assigned geography and Field Operations units to identify and evaluate opportunities to utilize modeling and analytics to drive better business decisions.</li> <li>Recommend action items and potential outcomes based on analysis and understanding factors that influence sales performance.</li> <li>Implement the results of the analysis and monitor results for effectiveness/ improvements.</li> <li>Lead projects or components of projects with impact across assigned geography.</li> <li>Forecast project outcomes, potential issues, and recommendations for improvements.</li> <li>Conduct return on investment analysis to determine the effectiveness of various initiatives and plans.</li> <li>Maintain project documentation and provide updates to management on a periodic basis.</li> <li>Maintain ongoing knowledge of reporting systems and techniques used to model and analyze sales activities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Education:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics or a relevant field</li> <li>Possession of a valid State Driver&rsquo;s license</li> </ul> <br /> <div><strong>Experience:</strong></div> <ul type="disc"> <li>Two years of experience in reporting and exploratory data analysis</li> <li>Professional work experience in sales analytics, business analytics, and/or building statistical modeling, to include some or all of the following: <ul type="circle"> <li>Using tools for statistical analysis and database querying in support of&nbsp; analytics</li> <li>Utilizing desktop computing skills, including use of one or more word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation graphics software programs</li> <li>Conducting risk assessments and root cause analysis</li> <li>Evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of systems and business strategies</li> <li>Cost/benefit analysis</li> <li>Analyzing performance problems</li> <li>Budget preparation, analysis, and maintenance</li> <li>Preparing and presenting information to management</li> <li>Modeling and monitoring financial projections for the region</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Knowledge of:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Reporting, modeling, and analytic techniques</li> <li>Sales industry practices and procedures</li> <li>Sales techniques and delivery systems</li> <li>Insurance products, services, and distribution channels</li> <li>Project planning and management techniques</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Ability to:</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Analysis and interpretation of data</li> <li>Preparation and presentation of materials</li> <li>Achieving stated objectives within the designated time frame</li> <li>Create and interpret sales models, results, and return on investment reporting</li> <li>Providing analytical skill/content knowledge to contribute to team effort</li> <li>Provide input on work process enhancements</li> <li>Working with others in a team environment</li> <li>Interacting with representatives of various business units</li> <li>Developing and presenting complex reports</li> </ul> <br />Important Note: The above statements describe the principal and essential functions, but not all functions that may be inherent in the job.
