Responsibilities: <p>Serves as a key contributor and support to Group operations by developing and implementing group products, researching, updating and distributing group travel product and service plan information, developing job aids for sales initiative, developing and delivering presentation for various groups, preparing and implementing group contracts and supporting group scorecard. Supports Group field initiatives and coordinates and maintains specialized group programs (special cruise/tour program information, override programs, airline ticket funds, providing travel escort service to various groups, etc.) to ensure meeting department growth objectives. Responds to escalated customer service with field/partners.</p> <p>Prepares and conducts presentations for Affinity groups and provides follow-up services. Provides support to the group inventory process by on-going review of revenue plan and disbursing key field communications to ensure inventory optimization. Supports escalated customer service with Travelport site to ensure quality service goals are met. Works with Travel Agents and vendors to process checks, verify documents, process refunds and compile manifests.</p>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) Designation.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):</strong></p> <p><strong>Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Travel products and services.</li> <li>Writing business communications.</li> <li>P.C software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).</li> <li>Accurately performing basic mathematical calculations.</li> <li>Developing and delivery of presentations.</li> <li>Travel booking engines/sites.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Multi-travel product lines.</li> <li>Travel processing procedures.</li> <li>Standards and regulations regarding travel industry.</li> <li>Presenting travel programs to groups.</li> <li>Escorting trips as required.</li> <li>Working under pressure to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Developing group product in response to group need.</li> <li>Determining competitive pricing.</li> <li>Analyzing and resolving problems.</li> <li>Assisting in the development of group trips to ensure the successful operation of group travel.</li> </ul>
