Responsibilities: <p>Under minimal guidance and supervision, use instructional design knowledge and a variety of media to complete complex instructional design assignments with a focus on eLearning. Responsibilities include: organizing, developing, revising and updating all aspects of course curriculums (i.e., storyboards, content, platforms and modules); evaluating revisions and updates for effectiveness; maintaining online courses and programs; creating graphic design components; producing instructional materials. Ensure cost-effective completion of - complex assignments within specified deadlines while adhering to established department and company guidelines.</p> <p>Maintain positive work relationships with operations and corporate partners. Partner with subject matter experts and Learning Specialists to conduct needs assessments and evaluations with the goal of determining development opportunities. Participate in and contribute to project teams by conducting analysis, synthesizing findings, developing and implementing instructional design solutions and delivery methods that support business initiatives and corporate goals. Review current curriculums to identify gaps in training. Analyze existing and emerging technologies and solutions to create innovative approaches to solve complex problems. Use sound judgement to escalate issues to senior staff. Obtain appropriate approvals for recommended solutions.</p> <p>Work with Learning and Development Support Team to upload courses, updates and documents to the Learning Management System. Evaluate and test uploaded courses. Coordinate and facilitate hand-off training for Learning Specialists.&nbsp;</p> <p>Maintain current and emerging knowledge of instructional design techniques and media. When necessary, may participate on project teams associated with large-scale instructional design projects.</p>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor Degree in Education, Training, Instructional Design or a related field.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>two years of experience utilizing instructional technology to edit course content.</li> <li>two years of experience writing, editing, proofreading and organizing course content, layout and audio/video scripts.</li> <li>interviewing subject matter experts.</li> <li>creating instructional documents, guides or job aids.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>training methods and techniques.</li> <li>course and script writing techniques.</li> <li>current instructional design techniques and media (i.e., Captivate design).</li> <li>Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite.</li> </ul> <p>Ability to:</p> <ul> <li>develop training curriculums and learning strategies.</li> <li>write and edit course modules and programs.</li> <li>develop storyboards with graphic design components for various employee audiences.</li> <li>communicate effectively within a work environment.</li> <li>conduct needs assessments.</li> <li>actively identify new learning opportunities.</li> <li>demonstrate strong writing skills.</li> <li>analyze and resolve problems.</li> <li>willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned region.</li> <li>work irregular hours.</li> </ul>
