Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Manage the learning and development activities within an assigned unit.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Responsible for programs that support one or more of the following disciplines: Membership, Travel, Insurance Operations &amp; Distribution, Claims, MEEMIC/Fremont, Financial Services, Life Insurance, Leadership Development and Career Development.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Manage the team responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing, delivering and analyzing training and development programs targeted to meet the needs of the business unit.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Manage activities to implement effective in-person, virtual and web-based learning solutions.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">May manage contractors tasked with working on various learning and development initiatives.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Maintain positive work relationships with operations and corporate partners.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Work with management and business partners to conduct needs assessments with the goal of identifying development opportunities.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Provide insight on operational issues in which employee development opportunities exist.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Promote a performance consulting mentality by working with the line of business to establish annual training goals, plans and metrics to support corporate goals and initiatives.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Develop and approve learning solutions to support business needs.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ensure that programs and initiatives positively impact employee development, member retention and the overall corporate environment. Monitor, analyze and report on the return on investment for various training and development initiatives.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Review current processes and procedures used to monitor activities and make recommendations for improvements.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Administer corporate and departmental policies and procedures within assigned team.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Monitor results to ensure that standards are maintained and consistent with strategic goals and objectives.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Recommend and implement improvements to processes and services provided.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Create and monitor departmental budgets.&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Handle special projects as assigned.</span></li> </ul> <u><span style="font-family: Arial;">Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None):</span></u><br /> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Participate in the process of selecting, hiring, training, development, counseling and disciplining assigned staff in accordance with corporate Human Resource policies and procedures.&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial;">Manage a team of Instructional Designers, Learning Consultants and Learning Specialists.</span></li> </ul>
