Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Coordinates Control Center operations including but not limited to the CCTV system, security alarm system, radio dispatch, access control system, closed circuit television system, alarm monitoring systems and security information management system. &nbsp;</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Operates and monitors the system, fire alarm system, card access system, public address system, and telephones.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Makes public address broadcasts as required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Responsible for the overall administration of the card access, CCTV, branch alarm systems and other related systems including programming, troubleshooting and coordination of system repairs, upgrades, and/or expansions. Coordinates preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair of security equipment and systems.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Ensures the training and certification of Control Center operators.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Handles daily Control Center operator functions as well as clerical duties as assigned by security management staff.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Monitors radio transmissions and controls radio traffic and broadcast discipline within the system.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Receives and processes all incoming telephone calls regarding routine security and safety matters.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Dispatches security personnel via radio/telephone communications to the scene of discovered or reported security related incidents.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Responsible for data entry and administration of the security information management system.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Maintains activity log, report log, dispatch forms and other records as necessary.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Ensures that all information contained in security reports or investigations are kept confidential.&nbsp; </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Provides clerical support and other duties as assigned by Security Management staff.</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <div><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></div> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Associates degree in Law Enforcement or a related field.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong><u>Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):</u></strong></span></p> <div><u>Experience:</u></div> <ul> <li> <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Extensive experience as a Police, Fire, Security/Police Department Dispatcher&nbsp;<strong>or</strong>&nbsp;Control Center Operator.</span></div> </li> </ul> <div><u>Knowledge and Skills:</u></div> <div><span style="font-size: medium;">Demonstrated knowledge and ability to include:</span></div> <ul> <li>Extensive operational knowledge of access control systems, video identification badge systems, fire and burglar alarm systems and closed circuit television system</li> <li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including report writing and telephone skills</li> <li>Evaluating situations and making sound decisions based on all available information</li> <li>Responding quickly and effectively under stressful and very intense situations, including the ability to prioritize service needs under pressure of time constraints and workloads&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintaining composure during stressful situations</li> <li>Advanced operational knowledge of MicroSoft office software including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook</li> <li>Advanced operational knowledge of IRIMS (security information management software) and other related database systems</li> <li>Operating fire fighting equipment, fire alarm monitoring systems, first aid equipment, computers, office equipment, and other security equipment</li> <li>Interacting well with the public and other departments</li> <li>Possession of public relations and good customer service skills</li> <li>Perform physical activities required to perform essential job duties and responsibilities including walking, standing, sitting, hearing, holding, lifting, carrying, climbing, reaching, seeing, talking, and writing</li> <li>Utilizing other mental processes required to perform essential job duties and responsibilities include observing, identifying, remembering, understanding, and problem solving.</li> </ul> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><span style="font-size: medium;">May be required to work various shifts as required by Security Services Management.</span></div>
