Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Responsible for the processing of employee data in Corporate Human Resource (&ldquo;HR&rdquo;) systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor processing activities of other department staff members to ensure the accurate and timely processing of information.</li> <li>Respond to inquiries from staff employees, management, vendors and various others regarding data input activities and the interpretation of related HR policies, procedures and/guidelines.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a variety of statistics and prepares reports for management review.&nbsp; Prepare a variety of reports utilizing query, HR systems reporting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare and maintain related documents for distribution to employees, management, and others as appropriate.</li> <li>May oversee the employee file review process to ensure compliance with government and company guidelines. Respond to all inquiries regarding rights and procedures under file review process.&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinate activities related to the updating and maintenance of all employee records (i.e, benefit files, employment files or course curricula).</li> <li>Compile and provide information in response to internal and external litigation requests. Audit, review and verify the accuracy of company employee records information forwarded out of and maintained within the specific Human Resource Area.</li> <li>May respond to requests for system queries from other departments; develop and run queries on a regular basis.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>May develop, coordinate and present PeopleSoft training for staff and new club implementation.</li> <li>Participate on various project teams/committees relative to analysis as required.&nbsp; Advise Company management and/or employees regarding personnel policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform system and table maintenance activities as required.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <div>Education:</div> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li> </ul> <p>Professional Human Resources experience in one or more functions such as:</p> <ul> <li>Employee Service Center</li> <li>Employee Records</li> </ul> <p>Experience in:</p> <ul> <li>Running queries and reports against relational databases and hierarchical database upload files</li> <li>A Personnel record keeping environment</li> <li>Developing and running queries</li> </ul> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>ACG Personnel Policies and Procedures</li> <li>AAA Michigan payroll/personnel system (e.g. PeopleSoft)</li> <li>Federal and state guidelines relative to records retention, storage, and destruction</li> <li>Bullard-Plawecki Employee Right to Know Act</li> </ul> <div>Ability to:</div> <ul> <li>Conduct training sessions for HR staff regarding query report preparation</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <div><u>Education:</u></div> <ul> <li>College level coursework in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field</li> </ul> <div><u>Experience:</u></div> <ul> <li>Report preparation</li> <li>Utilizing software applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.</li> <li>Investigating and resolving inquiries/problems</li> <li>Organization and planning</li> <li>Developing procedures and guidelines</li> <li>Data processing terminology and procedures</li> <li>Operating PeopleSoft HRMS system to include the relationship between administer workforce, recruit workforce, reports, HR Self-service,&nbsp; processing functions and related interfaces</li> </ul> <div><u><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></u></div> <div>Knowledge of:</div> <ul> <li>Personnel policies and procedures</li> <li>Database systems, tables and data entry</li> <li>PeopleSoft report formats</li> <li>Data audit reports</li> <li>HR Self-service and People Soft manager self-service</li> </ul> <div>Ability to:</div> <ul> <li>Provide work direction and guidance</li> <li>Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public</li> <li>Assist in the resolution of production problems</li> <li>Present complex information in a clear and concise manner</li> <li>Interpret and apply personnel policies and/or employee benefit provisions</li> <li>Organize and plan daily work, special activities and events</li> <li>Analyze and solve problems</li> <li>Work under pressure to meet deadlines</li> <li>Use a personal computer</li> <li>Safely operate a motor vehicle in order to attend meetings, seminars, etc.</li> <li>Investigate and resolve employee records discrepancies</li> <li>Identify and recommend procedural changes</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Willingness to work irregular hours as needed to meet deadlines</li> <li>Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills</li> <li>Written communication skills to include the preparation and presentation of reports and proposals to all levels of Management.
