Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Serves as a team member in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and/or supporting moderately complex new or revised processes or systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develops system specifications, prototypes, and all levels of documentation (e.g.; structure charts, screen designs, data flow diagrams, file layouts, report layouts, and job run descriptions) in accordance with IS standards.</li> <li>Responsible for the timely completion and quality of assigned deliverables and strives to achieve service level objectives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Acquires an understanding of user requirements and prepares activity and progress reports for project tasks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Develops estimates for project tasks and identifies potential impacts to project and recommends alternative solutions.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <div><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></div> <ul type="disc"> <li>Database design and/or modeling</li> <li>User interface design</li> <li>Oracle Documaker Development</li> <li>ImageRight or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience</li> <li>Insurance background and/or terminology knowledge</li> </ul> <div><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></div> <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent level of work experience.</li> </ul> <div><u>Experience:</u></div> <ul type="disc"> <li>Designing, developing, implementing or supporting moderately complex information systems</li> <li>Identifying, analyzing and resolving business problems</li> <li>Building or supporting distributed systems or web based systems</li> </ul> <div><u>Knowledge and Skills:</u></div> <ul> <li>Web-based system design and development</li> <li>.NET Programming languages</li> <li>Scripting and/or batch application development (e.g. Powershell, .NET console applications)</li> <li>Operating systems (e.g., MVS, Windows XP, UNIX)</li> <li>Database management systems (e.g., IMS DB, DB2, Oracle,&nbsp; SQL Server) Focus will be developing and optimizing SQL</li> <li>System development tools (Visual Studio, SQL tools)&nbsp;</li> <li>Data formats (e.g. JSON, XML)</li> <li>PC fundamental tools (MS Office)</li> <li>Systems operation practices</li> <li>Security and control procedures</li> <li>Structured systems analysis, design, programming and testing</li> <li>Interative, Agile and rapid programming concepts</li> <li>&lsquo;use case&rsquo; requirements analysis</li> <li>Effective communication and documentation skills</li> </ul>
