Overview: <p>The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.</p> <p>Works in a temperature controlled office environment. Occasional (less than 20% of work time) required with exposure to road hazards and temperature extremes.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<br /></span> <ul> <li>Negotiates price quotes from vendors for transportation, lodging, meals, and sightseeing activities.</li> <li>Coordinates brochure production, including writing copy, selecting photos and proofing.</li> <li>Produces a variety of reports and client mailings, rooming lists, billing statements, inventory lists, itineraries, final bulletins, etc.</li> <li>Processes booking invoices, deposits and other payments, changes and cancellations from tour members.</li> <li>Completes air reservations and issues tickets.</li> <li>Discusses tour arrangements, itinerary, billing, etc. with client, branch office consultant and/or vendor.</li> <li>Prepares tour escort book and related material including expense, etc.</li> <li>Verifies tour escorts expense report, tour report completion and follow-up on any outstanding override commissions.</li> <li>Reviews industry and AAA product and services to maintain current information.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Preferred Qualifications:</span></p> <ul> <li>Certified Travel Agent (CTA) Designation.</li> <li>Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) Designation.</li> <li>Extensive group travel experience, including large departures.</li> <li>Experience using Apollo reservation system.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Required Qualifications:</span></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to accommodate a flexible, part-time schedule.</li> </ul> <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />Education:</span><br /> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent</li> </ul> <br /> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Experience:</span></p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive travel agent experience with emphasis on group transactions (domestic and international).</li> <li>Negotiating preferred rates (group contracts) with airlines, hotels, ground transportation suppliers, cruise lines, etc.</li> <li>Accurately performing basic mathematical calculations.</li> <li>Preparing travel brochures and marketing materials.</li> <li>Processing monetary transactions.</li> <li>Using computer software applications (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).</li> <li>Promoting preferred vendors.</li> </ul> <p><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Knowledge and Skills:</span></p> <ul> <li>Computer reservations systems.</li> <li>World geography.</li> <li>Travel processing procedures.</li> <li>Standards and regulations concerning the travel industry.</li> <li>Presenting travel programs to groups of potential clients.</li> <li>Working under pressure to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Determining competitive pricing.</li> <li>Meeting and maintaining quality standards.</li> <li>Performing comprehensive sales relating to products and services available.</li> <li>Analyzing and developing programs that will be beneficial to the success of the group travel operations.</li> <li>Analyzing and resolving problems.</li> <li>Preparing and presenting oral and written reports.</li> </ul> <br />
