Responsibilities: <ul> <li>This position is responsible for selling new memberships, persuading members to reinstate their memberships, transferring membership from affiliate clubs, and/or research post office returns and correct addresses to insure members have no break in service, through outbound calls.</li> <li>Receives and handles inbound calls for new memberships, renewals, transfers, and post-office returns.&nbsp;</li> <li>Council members and resolve problems impeding renewal/transfer of their membership.</li> <li>Computes membership fees and adjust records as required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Fully utilize all available data platforms including POS Campaign Manager, POC, and MVS Mainframe system.</li> <li>Makes outgoing calls to lapsed members, or prospects that would like to renew, purchase, or transfer a membership based on the campaign that the member/prospect is in.&nbsp;</li> <li>Up-sells additional members/riders whenever possible or applicable. Begin building MRM relationships with all contacts to retain Members.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Researches various data bases including POC, POS, MVS in addition to approved internet sites to correct and verify information received from member contact thus enabling files to be updated and prospective leads contacted.</li> <li>Performs membership data base maintenance activities including posting payments, verifying payments, refunds, duplication, address changes, updating membership expiry dates etc.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in call center environment.</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft PC applications and Internet proficiency preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of Membership System, POC system, POS system, and Campaign Manager preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong knowledge of ACG's membership policies and procedures preferred.</li> <li>Solid understanding of ACG's renewal, part-pay, and transfer processes preferred.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group products</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Two or more years of previous telephone representative experience that included sales/telemarketing</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate in a Windows based PC environment.&nbsp; Working knowledge of word processing and database applications.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to have patience on the phone and have the desire to push for high outbound call volume.</li> <li>Must have sales skills and be able to work independently.</li> <li>Good listening skills are essential</li> </ul>
