Responsibilities: <p align="left">The Auto Club Group is seeking prospective<strong>&nbsp;Payroll Services Specialist II&nbsp;</strong>who serves as the Payroll Department&rsquo;s subject matter expert for specialized processes within the department to include leave accrual, garnishment, and banking administration. The position requires the ability to analyze, process, and perform payroll/accounting functions. Also, is responsible for the accurate administration of all paid time off policies, procedures, and regulations which includes responding to inquiries for information regarding various HR programs and the interpretation of paid time off policies, procedures, and guidelines.&nbsp;</p> <div align="left">In this position, you will have the opportunity to:&nbsp;</div> <ul> <li> <p>Processes leave accruals to ensure the application of eligible time off to employees in the PeopleSoft system.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for the leave accrual process to update leave balances and sync the balances in Time &amp; Labor with the benefits table.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Works with the leave administration team to review the length of absences to determine the amount of paid time off to be credited and enters information into the system.</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for all garnishment administration, including accurate PeopleSoft entry, validation of deductions taken, and reconciliation of said deductions, and submission of payments to the appropriate agencies.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintains compliance for garnishment table set up within the system, including testing all garnishment related changes delivered with the PeopleSoft tax updates.</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for various banking processes within the Payroll Department including submitting all check reversal and stop payment requests to the company bank.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Validates the direct deposit file receipt for all payrolls and works with Payroll Accountant/Analyst when needed on the reconciliation process.</p> </li> </ul> <div align="left">&nbsp;</div> <p align="left">With our powerful brand and the mentoring we offer, you will find your position as a&nbsp;<strong>Payroll Services Specialist II&nbsp;</strong>can lead to a rewarding career at our growing organization.</p>
Requirements: <div><u>Education:</u></div> <ul> <li> <p align="left">College-level coursework in Business Administration or Accounting</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Completion of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification within one year of employment</p> </li> </ul> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><u>Experience:</u></div> <ul> <li> <p align="left">Automated processing environment to include auditing, balancing, reconciling data, and analyzing processing procedures to identify and correct errors</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Utilizing an HRMS to include tables, processing functions, and related interfaces</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Reviewing PeopleSoft screens</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Servicing employees by investigating and resolving inquiries/problems in a timely manner</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Having access to highly sensitive, confidential information</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">PeopleSoft HRMS including Payroll, Time &amp; Labor, Absence Management, and General Ledger</p> </li> </ul> <div><u>Knowledge and skills:</u><br />Knowledge of:</div> <ul> <li> <p align="left">Garnishment compliance regulations in a multi-state environment</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">End-to-end payroll business processes including employee data setup, payroll processing, gross-to-net calculations, FLSA, and other payroll functions</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Testing systems development and methodologies</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Accounting principles and procedures</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">ACH/Direct Deposit rules</p> <div align="left">&nbsp;</div> </li> </ul> Ability to:<br /> <ul> <li> <p align="left">Create reports using PeopleSoft Query, Microsoft Excel, and Access or other reporting tools</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Perform math calculations in the determination of benefit payouts</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Present information in a clear and concise manner</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Interpret and apply HR policies and/or Payroll provisions</p> </li> <li> <p align="left">Work independently to organize and plan daily work, special activities, and events</p> <div align="left">&nbsp;</div> </li> </ul> <p><strong><u>III.
