Overview: <ul> <li>Lead day to day operations in the Greater Grand Rapids, MI Market, driving profitable growth while minimizing risks</li> <li>Stay on the same page with the CEO</li> <li>Direct reports: The following five leadership team roles will report to the Vice President of Operations: Director of Professional Relations, Controller, Funding and Client Services Manager, Medicaid Team Supervisor. Additionally, five attorneys will report directly to the VP of Operations.</li> <li>Report to: Chief Executive Officer, David Carrier. In the future, this person&nbsp;may report to a Chief Operating Officer.</li> </ul> <br /> <div class="grammarly-disable-indicator">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversee existing and promote the establishment of new systems, processes, and technologies that improve the customer experience and workflow at DCL, while at the same time supporting meaningful revenue, employee and geographic growth</li> <li>Constantly and consistently motivate, challenge and assess organizational talent. Delegate and elevate.</li> <li>Actively encourages commitment to a common vision shared values. Cultivates a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work effectively with an idea-driven CEO. Provide realistic expectations and list obstacles; if a contrary decision is made, implement it effectively.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maximize CEOs effectiveness by focusing his attention on strengths: legal expertise and strategic vision</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Results achieved as a Vice President, General Manager, or a similarly relevant role at entrepreneurial companies greater than $10mm in revenues required</li> <li>A demonstrated execution mindset and a record of success holding people accountable required</li> <li>Understanding of and ability to create healthy organizational culture required</li> <li>Success recruiting and retaining top leadership teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent required</li> <li>Strong financial and analytical skills &ndash; define critical data &amp; track results required. Not afraid to personally &ldquo;dig into the data&rdquo; for improved business decision making</li> <li>Marketing proficiency required. Need to be able to discuss CEO&rsquo;s marketing ideas.</li> <li>Proven success partnering with a high-intensity, passionate CEO strongly preferred</li> <li>Professional services industry experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Bachelors degree strongly preferred</li> <li>Background in a compliance-driven organizational preferred</li> <li>Advanced degree, MBA or similar, preferred</li> <li>Franchising / licensing experience preferred</li> </ul>
