In this role, you&rsquo;ll supervise the medication technician team, ensure resident care plans are followed, and maintain communication with medical professionals and families to provide consistent, high-quality care.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead and support the medication technician team in delivering services according to resident care plans</li> <li>Administer medications following physician orders and Medication Administration Records (MAR)</li> <li>Verify daily documentation and track completion of resident care tasks</li> <li>Communicate with the team regarding resident needs and ensure consistent, high-quality service</li> <li>Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room</li> <li>Supervise staff during shifts and support their development</li> <li>Maintain all required certifications, in-service training, and ongoing education</li> <li>Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines</li> <li>Ensure safe work practices and support team members in maintaining safety standards</li> <li>Assist with workplace injury investigations and return-to-work processes as needed</li> <li>Foster teamwork, take initiative, and positively impact coworkers, residents, and visitors</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li> <li>Minimum one year of caregiving experience</li> <li>At least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field</li> <li>Ability to read physician orders and accurately follow Medication Administration Records</li> <li>Understanding of medical terminology and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred</li> <li>Required state certifications for medication administration</li> <li>Must meet all health requirements, including TB clearance</li> <li>Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts</li> <li>Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly</li> <li>Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor</li> </ul>
