Overview: In your role as the Manager, Staff Housing, at The North West Company (NWC), you protect and sustain NWC&rsquo;s employee housing portfolio. In addition, you will&nbsp;oversee the property management of all accommodations, assemble annual budgets, and oversee the programs and associated assets ensuring NWC&rsquo;s housing policies, procedures, and standards are maintained. Responsibilities: <p><strong>Your Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure NWC housing assets are kept to a suitable condition consistent with NWC&rsquo;s policies and standards;</li> <li>Assemble a 5 year housing strategy, inclusive of all appropriate NWC stakeholders;</li> <li>Monitor &amp; maintain&nbsp;the Staff Housing policies, procedures, and processes and ensure housing occupants adhere to those set policies and procedures;</li> <li>Consolidate, verify, prioritize and make recommendations for the overall annual housing program;</li> <li>Accountable for the Housing Contingency/Emergency repairs (4C) budget;</li> <li>Collaborate with Director of Store Planning &amp; Construction to assemble the 4M budget, specifically the "Housing" Component</li> <li>Resource plan and manage property deposits and payments;</li> <li>Perform site inspections, report on, and mitigate issues as they arise to identify repair needs and prioritize accordingly;</li> <li>Establish jurisdiction with housing occupants, to ensure residents follow NWC protocols;</li> <li>Maintain communication with staff house residence to ensure standards of living are consistent with NWC core principles; and</li> <li>Assist with housing acquisitions, were a favourable opportunity is present.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <h2 class="content-card-header">Job Requirements</h2> <p><strong>Desired Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience in property management;</li> <li>Post-secondary education in Project Management or Property Management is an asset;</li> <li>Working knowledge of residential construction methods, legislation, regulations and codes;</li> <li>Understanding of residential tenancy acts;</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines and budgets; Project management experience an asset;</li> <li>Must be highly motivated with proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills;</li> <li>Must have experience working with the development and management of budgets effectively and accurately;</li> <li>Excellent, written, verbal, and negotiation skills is required;</li> <li>Must be able to travel in Canada and the United States approximately&nbsp;75-100 days per calendar year; and,</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and manage situations with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Gibraltar House, 77 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB</p> <p><strong>Reports to:</strong>&nbsp; Senior Manager, Real Estate &amp; Store Development</p> <p><strong> We thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.&nbsp;</strong>A competitive salary is being offered along with opportunities to learn, develop and advance throughout the organization.</p> <p><strong>Apply Now!</strong></p>
